RE: complaint ID [redacted] To Whom it may concern,The seamstress that hemmed the customer's pants hemmed them too short. The customer stated that she could still use the pants and the suit jackets and wanted to keep the pants. The customer accepted a refund of the amount she paid for the alterations....

She was offered a store credit in addition to the refund to compensate her for her trouble. After accepting the refund, the customer requested to be reimbursed for the purchase price of the suits as well. She also wished to keep the suits as they were still wearable. On 11-12-2015, the store manager told her that she would talk to the general manager and one of them would call her back no later than Monday, Nov. 16th. On Friday 11-13-2015, the store manager called the customer back and left a message for the customer to please call the back and let her know what the amount of compensation was that the customer was seeking. She received no response back from the customer. On 11-24-2015, we received a complaint letter that the customer had filed with the Revdex.com. The General manager called and left 2 messages for the customer on that day. On 11-25-2015, the General Manager called the customer again and the customer answered. She said she had gotten the messages but did not understand them so she didn't call back. The General manager explained to the customer that we had agreed to compensate her for the suits and let her keep them and wear them as well but we were just waiting for her to call back with the purchase price of the suits. The customer told her the purchase price and the General Manager mailed her a check for the full amount. The customer seemed very satisfied.Thrifty Dry Cleaners

Revdex.com:While I do consider this matter resolved, I reject the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] as there are many inaccuracies in their reporting. Please see the attached.Per my initial complaint:The seamstress that hemmed the pants did indeed hem them too short. I requested a 31.5 inch inseam and received a 28 inch inseam. The inseam was accurately marked in three places. On November 11, 2015 (at the store) when asked for a refund on the payment of the alterations fee of $26, it was not immediately given. I was told the store needed to keep the pants for owner or management to look at. At that time, no offer to reimburse me for the pants had been made. The store did keep the pants. On November 12. 2015 ! was called by the clerk and told that the store was willing to refund my $26 alteration fee and also offer me a store credit for future services of $30. No reimbursement was offered for the replacement of the pants (or suits) which could not be repaired as the turned under portion of the hem only provided an additional 1.5 inches (making it 28+1.5=29.5 inches of available fabric).I declined the offer of the store credit of $30, but later that same day, did pick up the pants and the $26 alteration fee refund, I also requested to again speak with someone regarding the pants. I was told at that time that the manager would call me on Monday, November 16.Note: I needed an inseam of 31.5 inches, the pants were hemmed to 28 inches. There was not enough fabric to repair the pants. The suits were no longer wearable by me. While Thrifty was not offering at that time to reimburse me for even the pants, I did state that the jackets without pants did not make a suit.I received no phone call from Thrifty personnel on Friday, November 13, 2015.On November 18. 2015. as I had not heard from store personnel, I filed my complaint with the Revdex.com.On November 24, 2015 at approximately 12:35 p.m. I did receive a phone call from an unknown caller. They left a voicemail which when played was garbled. As I did not recognize the number nor understand that message, and I was at work, I did not call back. At 3:0.1 p.m. that same day, the caller called again from the same number. I missed the call and no message was left.On November 25, 2015 at 7:34 a.m.. the caller called again (same number). I answered the call. The caller identified herself by first name only from Thrifty Clean. We had a bad connection and two minutes into the conversation were disconnected. She called back from a different phone number. The total call lasted 15 minutes and 5 seconds. During the conversation I asked her position with the company and she told me she was the general manager. After much discussion, the general manager offered to send me a check for $100.00 to compensate me for the two suits. When I asked her how she wanted the suits returned to her, I was advised that due to the total reimbursement falling under the store's insurance guidelines, return of merchandise was not necessary and that I could keep the suits to do with as I wished. On November 28th I received the check for $100.00. I consider this claim settled.

Review: On Nov 5, 2015 I delivered two pair of pants to be hemmed to Thrifty Clean Inc, Erie PA. These were pants from 2-pc suits. The jackets were not taken.I was quoted a total price of $16.00, which was later amended to $26 total. Price had been misquoted. On Nov 10, 2015 I was called when alterations were completed and stopped that same day for pickup and payment of service. Once at home I tried the pants on and found them too short. Upon further examination, I found the pants had been altered to a 28 inseam, not 31.5 as was requested. Further, there were 3 places the requested inseam was written (tags attached to each pant and also on the receipt). When I measured the turned-under portion of the hem (1 ) I realized there would be no way to repair the pants for my wearing. On Nov 11, 2015 I stopped at Thrifty to bring the error to their attention. The clerk measured the pants and confirmed my measurements. I pointed out the 2 tags plus the receipt that showed the correct requested inseam, as written by Thrifty, and requested a refund of the $26 alteration fee and damages. I was informed that the store manager and owner would need to be notified and that they would need to physically see the pants to determine damage compensation. I was to leave the pants at the store, which I did. We also discussed the pants being part of 2 suits. No refund of the alteration fee was offered at this time. On Nov 12, 2015 I spoke with the clerk again by phone. The store manager offered to refund me the $26 paid for the alterations and a Store credit of $30 (towards future services). This was unacceptable to me as these pants were one-half of two individual 2-piece suits.I picked the pants up that evening and also received the $26 alteration refund. The clerk again informed me that the store manager would need to contact the owner in regards to the damage compensation and that I should expect a phone call on Monday, Nov 16. At this time, I have not received that call.Desired Settlement: These pants were part of 2 separate 2-piece suits, which are now rendered useless to me. I would like compensated for the suits.
