Hired Thrive Maintenance Services to install an evaporative cooler at my residence after obtaining a quote from the owner ***. Mr. made an appointment to come to my residence to take measurements of my existing evaporative cooler. We agreed that the work would be done on May 8, 2020 at 2:00pm.Upon arriving at my residence, he stated that he had purchased the wrong evaporative cooler, and had to return to the Home Depot, for the correct cooler. He returned with his helpers, a young Hispanic male, and an even younger Hispanic girl. They proceeded to dismantle and remove my existing cooler from a window on the south side of my home. After they had finished that, they unloaded the new Champion cooler from their work van and removed it from a cardboard box.Upon placing the new Champion cooler onto a metal stand, it was visually apparent that it was much smaller than the old cooler that they had previously taken measurements for.It was at this time that Mr. claimed that this cooler cost more, but he would still charge me the same price he had quoted me previously. Because of the drastic difference in size, they placed the new cooler atop one of the old rusted sheet metal cooler pad panels from the old cooler so it would be the correct height.I commented that with the rusted weakened condition of that panel, it wouldn't hold the coolers weight once it had water in it. They then installed 2 metal hooks into the wooden eaves of my roof and stretched a chain to each hook and attached each chain to the sides of the cooler. They determined they would need a "2x4"to set the new cooler on. They all left in the work can and returned a short time later with a new wooden post that sawed in half. They placed each wooden plank side by side between the cooler and the metal stand. It was obvious that the cooler wasn't level and tilted forward towards the window. Only 1 of the planks was holding the weight of the cooler. The other plank slide back and forth freely underneath the cooler.

Repair As it sits now, although in working order, the cooler sits balanced on top of a plank of wood. The chains they attached to the cooler are more decorative, than functional. Each chain has considerable slack between the eaves and cooler and doesn't appear to be bearing any weight. The end result is an unstable potentially dangerous cooler that could easily fall off of its perch causing both damage to the cooler and possible human injury.I reached out to Mr. about my dissatisfaction,to no avail
We went out to clients home to remedy issue. Upon arriving client was very angry and non communicative. We leveled out ac unit and made sure it was secured. We notified client we were done with no answer or feedback from client. We have received several harassing emails from client since then. We have notified client that we will be re-embusing him the cost of the labor which is a total of $175.00. As you can see in screen shot email we forwarded you, client is apologizing for sending previous texts and is satisfied with work. Just seemed weird to receive this complaint from your office. As mentioned above we did go out to remedy problem to his satisfaction. Feel free to call me if you require more info.
