Initial Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 16, 2014/05/09) */ Dear [redacted] , I am writing to you in response to your Revdex.com rebuttal against ThumbtackI apologize if my initial response was not sufficient in addressing all of your concerns I went ahead and reviewed all of pertinent landing pages and was not able to find any evidence of misleading advertising on our siteWhen you submit a request, we reach out to service professionals in your area that provide the service you requestedOnce the request is submitted, we display a confirmation page that lists next steps, which includes the following for your particular job request: "We'll email you multiple lawncare quotes" For your particular job request, we were able to successfully provide two quotes from interested prosWe reached out to professionals on your behalf (as advertised), and allow a maximum of quotes per job request within the hour quoting window Please note that you received the following confirmation email after submitting your request: "Available pros submit quotes within hours" We do not guarantee that you will receive any quotes, however we do promise that we'll reach out to our qualified professionals to let them know that you are interested in their servicesThe professionals that are visible on these landing pages are active pros who are not 'On Hold' and have indicated interest in receiving leads from your job location Thank you so much, again, for your feedbackWe are working hard to create a great experience for both our service professionals and consumers, and hope that you will use Thumbtack in the future Sincerely, [redacted] CRS Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (4200, 18, 2014/05/12) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I'm rejecting this for two simple reasons; (1) "reviewed OUR site" (my emphasis(2) only two of twenty-two responded, which leads to a logical conclusion that those advertised are not interested, by majority, or are falsely listed clients(How can so many, and assumedly paying for advertisement, not be more interested?! Makes NO senseOne pays for service, they'll use it.) I hired a pet sitter (vet tech) that was suppose to stay at my home for days and care for my catsWhen I returned home, I found my house trashed The litter boxes were dirty and the cats were neglectedNew food was dumped on top of old foodThey urinated all over my new furniture, and were sickThey were drinking water from the toilet that contained bleach cleaning blocksI ended up in the emergency vet clinic with a $billThe pet sitter started posting nasty comments about my daughter on Facebook (an attorney)Saying all kinds of negative things and posting her cell phone number on FacebookShe went so far as to threaten my daughter with legal action to collect her feeMy daughter didn't hire this woman...I didI contacted Thumbtack and they said that their team was working on the situation and would get back to meTHEY NEVER RESPONDED! I kept calling them to get a hold of someone...but never couldAll I heard was that they were sorry this situation happenedIt turns out this pet sitter was writing her own referencesI contacted the vet hospital she worked for, and was told that she is a scammerDO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T USE THUMBTACK FOR YOUR NEEDSMy insurance doesn't cover a situation of this sort, and now I will have to resort to a lawsuit against Thumbtack and the pet sitterNothing but headaches!

I submitted an inquiry today searching for someone to clean my house Within minutes, I received a couple of very professional emails responding to my request Each of these ladies would have done a wonderful job, but I could only choose one I had absolutely no idea that I was costing these hard working businesswomen money just for offering me a quote The only reason I know now is because my curiosity led me to do some research on this business I needed the services because we have not lived in this area very !ong For what it's worth, people might have more respect if they were aware of the facts I feel like sending the other responders the money they lost on me! What a great website! All I can say is it's truly a great system/network of professionalsFor a small business owner I must say that because of site like thumbtack, our business is able to thriveThank you for creating this amazing site for people across the U.S

This company has send party leads where the information for the services are the same multiple times and theonly change is the clients nameTime, date, hours, party info (location) to mislead my company into pay for quotes for services on ghost clientsThey also send leads for different states where I specificly posted in my profile how far I'm willing to travel(no more than miles)

I hired pro from this website and I had a horrible experience with each; the first ruined my apartment carpet and burn my bedroom carpet and the second insulted me in a private message and didn't do what we agreed to although we have been settled all in the same conversation! When tried to contact customer support, they didn't get back to me for workings days and until I contacted them againAfter that , They replied to my email with typical sentences to calm any customer not one his whole carpet ruined!!! after a thread of emails, they asked me if I want to move forward with the dispute for carpet and they will seeI really lost a lot of money just because I trust themThey didn't save my back with the pro they are dealing with and there is no guarantee for the service you take from them
