This company was called out by my plumber when he was at my home repairing a leak which caused some water damage They came to perform the dry out work, but they inadvertently drilled a hole through one of my drain pipes was discovered after the work had been completed After completion of work, during the course of doing laundry I discovered that there were large amounts of water coming down into my downtairs bathroom and adjacent areas When plumber came back out, he removed the drywall and discovered that there was a hole that had been drilled by Lightning Restoration during the course of their work We are currently in a dispute, as they feel entitled to receive payment for this unacceptable work I of course feel they should not be paid anything and they in fact owe me money for the repairs I had to make for their error Now they are suing me!

In response to the above case number, would like to express our concerns and what we have done to try to resolve this issue.
We are contacted on 10/8/13 to respond to a water loss at the home of Mr. [redacted]. Our technician...

spoke with mr. [redacted] and together completed the necessary forms to begin the job. Mr. [redacted] contacted his insurance company with our technician and set up an insurance claim. Mr. [redacted] signed our contract and asked us to begin work.
We set up our equipment, we monitored the job for four days and we picked up all of our equipment when the job was completed. Unfortunately this loss was not covered by Mr. [redacted]'s insurance company for reasons they would not disclose to us, now he does not want to pay for our services. IN the contract it states that he would be responsible if it is not covered loss from his insurance company.
On 10/30/13 Mr. [redacted] let us know that the claim had been denied. We did not hear anything else from his until 3/13/14. We left many messages for him and would not return any of our phone calls. After many attempts to try to resolve this, we sent this matter to collections on 3/03/14. We would would have negotiated with Mr. [redacted], as we do with our customers that need assistance, if he would have made some effort to contact us.
At this point, the collection agency has taken over this customer. We had put every effort possible to avoid sending this to collections, but unfortunately we had no other options due to Mr. [redacted]'s lack of response. We always try our very best o make sure that our customers our satisfied, but there are those rare instances, when we are just not able to.
