Thunder Bay Auto Parts Reviews (%countItem)

I bought a vehicle from Thunder Bay Auto Parts, that was supposed to be sold safetied and ready for the road . They chose a shop to safety it and I brought them the certified money order. They accepted the cheque , and I was then told I still had to wait to pick up the truck because they had to wait for the ownerships to be mailed from Quebec . They then went and cashed the cheque before the ownerships were anywhere to be seen . At this point , I'm starting to get a little worried that they took the cheque ***, especially when they didn't show up until later then the lady said they would .once ownerships arrived and I was off to pick up my new truck .I hop in, start driving down the road , and check engine light comes on ...I have a hand held scanner so I plugged it in right away to see what was causing the check engine light . After a couple minutes of research I figured out that it was a faulty sensor causing the issue . I immediately brought the truck back and asked to speak with their mechanic as well as sales person . The mechanic took a quick look at the truck , and tried telling me it would fix itself after I had the engine retuned . Now I'm no mechanic, but even I know retuning the perameters of your engine isn't gonna fix a faulty sensor . I told them I wanted the sensor changed , or at the very least inspected . They argued me on it and wanted to wait until I paid for a tune , to see if that fixes it . Ended up waiting , and truck got more check engine light codes .I called them and demanded that sensor be changed. They did end up inspecting it and came to the realization that it was the sensor causing the problems in the first place .They also sold me a $100 tune for engine , and never uploaded it to the truck . Within 3 weeks of owning truck , it had left me stranded at work because the starter was loose and almost fell off .I've talked to other mechanics that don't think the truck should have passed a safety . There's many problems with truck and they will not answer my messags

Desired Outcome

Repair should pay for a safety at a shop (of my choice) and if there are things called that should have been called on the first safety,. I'd also like the 100 dollars back that they charged me for a custom tune and never installed in truck .The truck is currently not driveable due to a injector failure ,so I feel they should have to pay for tow truck and new injectors, since it's been a ongoing problem since I bought the truck . I paid for a safetied truck that needs $2500 in parts '?

Thunder Bay Auto came to pick up truck, agreeing to contact me before any work is done , because I wanted it to go to a 3rd party shop but they insisted I let them look at it first .. they requested to solve this without the involvement of Revdex.com . They came to pick up truck with their flat bed and instead of loading it on where the truck sat, they started the truck and drove it to where the tow truck was parked, knowing the issues the truck has. Any reputable shop should know not to run the truck if it has possible injector issues due to the severity of the issue . They chose to drive the truck to where the flatbed had parked. The part I don't understand is, if they could drive the truck out of the alley, why couldn't they drive their tow truck drive in and load it where it sat. The flat bed had no issues reaching the truck when they picked it up the first time . I emailed and asked why they would do that knowing the issues and I haven't heard back . They have had the truck for going on 2 days now and I haven't heard anything, so I have no idea what they are actually doing to resolve the issues, or if they have even looked at it to begin with . If they have started working on it , they failed to hold their agreement of contacting me before doing any work . I'm not comfortable with them working on it due to the amount of stuff they have missed previously. *** Attached is a picture of where oil has leaked from the truck into the ground , witch I feel is a environmental hazard that I shouldn't have to clean up since the truck was sold to me in this condition when it was supposed to be safetied and ready for the road .
