(See attachment of proof of purchase) The second code Pdetected Fault-Spark Plugs, Ignition Wires, which I replaced as well(See attachment of proof of purchase) After replacing these parts the truck was still not working properly and I decided to take it to a professional to have it checked outWhen I took the truck in to Thunderbird Auto Repair on January 05, I specified to *** what I had changed according to the possible problems of the codes they gave me at *** *** told me that he would check the truck first and the codesThis was Monday January 5, *** called me the same day saying that to solve the problem he would need to change the crank shaft and told me it would cost me $and that it would take him a day to do itHe didn’t call me back in the time agreed onI actually had to call him on Thursday like I stated on the original complaint and still had no response as if he was just giving me the run around On that day he told me that that had not solved the problem, that he would check the Injectors NOT replaced themOn Friday hetold me that didn’t solve the problem either That the problem was the engine needed to be rebuild due to a piece of metal that he said he found inside the valve cover on bank #2. I [redacted] manager of thunderbird auto repair spoke to ** [redacted] about his 2007 [redacted] on January 6 2015.he was complaining about two problems on his truck.one of them code p0340 which is crankshaft sensor problem. After getting authorization from [redacted] we replaced the...

The other problem was codes p0302 and p0304 which is miss firing on cylinders number two and four.[redacted] told me that he already replaced the spark plugs but when he did that he ripped the spark plug wires and I had to put a new set of wires. After that, was still miss firing the same cylinders. Since the truck had 140165 miles and its a working truck I recommend [redacted] to replace fuel injectors two and four, [redacted] authorized the job.but the fuel injectors are hard plastic once you take them out you cannot reuse them, so I replaced six new injectors but [redacted] refused to pay for six injectors and he only got charged for two.I have the original invoice and [redacted] has a copy and I can prove what im saying, I will fax you a copy of the original invoice because his lying on the job that he said we did and his lying on the amount he got charged. after we changed the fuel injectors cylinders two and four were still miss firing. We removed valve cover on passenger side and we found a big chunk of metal that shouldn't be there causing internal damage to the engine. I have the old parts in my possession and receipts that can prove what im saying is true.by the way in three years since I opened this shop this is the first complain for this shop.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. On December 27, 2014 I took my 2007 [redacted] Truck to [redacted] due to check engine light. The truck was bought from the dealer ship with only 15 miles and never had any major problems with it. [redacted] checked it and had 3 different codes they were P0430, P0304, and P0016. See attachments for proof of original receipts. From the codes that they gave me of the probable cause I worked on some first code P0016 which detected the Crank Sensor which I replaced.  (See attachment of proof of purchase) The second code P0304 detected Fault-Spark Plugs, Ignition Wires, which I replaced as well. (See attachment of proof of purchase) After replacing these parts the truck was still not working properly and I decided to take it to a professional to have it checked out. When I took the truck in to Thunderbird Auto Repair on January 05, 2015 I specified to [redacted] what I had changed according to the possible problems of the codes they gave me at [redacted] told me that he would check the truck first and the codes. This was Monday January 5, 201. [redacted] called me the same day saying that to solve the problem he would need to change the crank shaft and told me it would cost me $450.00 and that it would take him a day to do it. He didn’t call me back in the time agreed on. I actually had to call him on Thursday like I stated on the original complaint and still had no response as if he was just giving me the run around.  On that day he told me that that had not solved the problem, that he would check the Injectors NOT replaced them. On Friday hetold me that didn’t solve the problem either.  That the problem was the engine needed to be rebuild due to a piece of metal that he said he found inside the valve cover on bank #2.  (As he states on the original receipt he send Revdex.com) At that time I called [redacted] and asked them the possibilities of what [redacted] was telling me. [redacted] told me that that couldn’t be possible. At this point I told [redacted] I was going to pick up the truck.  [redacted] mention again that the engine had to be rebuild and he said that I could pick up the truck and that the amount due was $1518.58. At this point is when I contact Revdex.com and filed the complaint for all the lies and time loss. Before paying the amount due I told [redacted] of how unsatisfied I was with the service and that I would file the complaint with Revdex.com that’s when he told me that he was going to charge me $1159.44 instead. Then I took the truck in to [redacted] to have it checked out. Here they gave me the same codes [redacted] had giving me on December 27. That the only problem the truck had was the Catalytic. And that the part that [redacted]said he found inside the valve cover would not fit in there. [redacted] worked on the truck according to the codes given by [redacted] and [redacted] which fixed the problem of the truck. I am very dissatisfied with the poor service given to me at Thunderbird Auto Repair. Due to the lies of parts in engine that had supposedly damage pistons and had to get engine rebuild. Spark plugs were new as well when I took it in. Seven different things were replaced on the truck without being necessary when the only problem with it was the Catalytic. I shouldn’t off been charged with all of these due to the reason that I didn’t approve for it to be done. It just seemed that they were trying to guess the problem the truck had instead of really knowing what the problem was. On Friday I called to check another man answer said [redacted] was out test driving a car. I told him if dint hear or if he dint call I was going to go pick my truck up with a towing truck. [redacted] called and told me he had change the part but dint fix the problem. he would change the fuel injection that he would call me back when it was ready. On Saturday [redacted] called and said it he changed the parts but dint work . He said he open the heads and found a water part inside if the pistons that it was inside there and dint know why or who put it inside . I told him I was going to pick my truck up and take it somewhere else . He said it would be ok but it was $1500 dollars when I picked it up . He never told me how much more it would be to what he said changing more parts or even if he did. Which was not the issue the truck had. For the amount of things replaced on the truck that were unnecessary and was charged for them. For example the spark plug cables were replaced by me before taken to Thunderbird Auto Repair if [redacted] had mention anything of him changing those I would have told him that they had life time warranty because they were bought at [redacted] and they would have replaced them. I’m also upset in the way that they told me that they would not take my Visa bank card or a check that my payment had to be cash only. This is upsetting because on the entrance of the business it specifies they take all major credit cards.
