I have been diagnosed with lyme disease by an MD, due to my symptoms including removal of an embedded deer tick and a bulls eye rash in the area of the bite. I send in my tick along with a [redacted] postal money order to have it tested for different bacteria as advertised on the site. My main reason is that a tick that carries anaplasma phagocytophilum , that bacteria can be treated by doxycycline which I am now taking but if the tick also carried the bacteria called babesia microti, I could be co-infected and need to take amoxicillan also. My test results came back negative which means my tick carried nothing according to the lab. Basically they swindled me out of [redacted] .Order_Number: XXXXXDesired SettlementI would like my [redacted] refunded to me and closer monitoring of this lab.Business Response [redacted] has been refunded. Before ordering a service from our lab, [redacted] signed an agreement stating that she understands that these tests are not intended to provide clinical diagnosis of disease nor should they be interpreted as a substitute for clinical testing or consultation with a physician. These tests are a very accurate assessment of whether the tick was infected. However, a negative test has no bearing on other ticks that may have bitten [redacted] and gone unnoticed.
