Ticket King was just the "holding broker" in this orderThe customer did not use our website to purchase the ticketsWe are part of a network of ticket agencies, and Mr*** purchased our tickets on another websiteWe do not control the layout of the website Mr*** used to buy our tickets
Attached are two documents that are part of the sales documents that show that the customer used another site to purchase our ticketsGranted, he sees the final charges to his card coming from Ticket King, but he did not use our site to buy the ticketsAlso, any event that takes place in the state of Wisconsin, and where the holding broker is based in Wisconsin, there must be sales tax chargedWe are not able to waive the sales tax, and have no control over thatThe reason that there was two charges, was because the ticket payment system has to compute the proper tax for every region, state or localityThat computation is a separate transaction that takes place just minutes after the first chargeIt can be confusing, but we also know that every website that is part of our network states clearly that sales tax will be charged, if applicableI'll be happy to add to this reply, the site that he used to buy the tickets, and take screen shots of the area where it states that sales tax will be charged, but I'm waiting for Ticket Network (our Point of Sale provider,) to get back to me with the name of the site that Mr*** used

This complaiant is based on principal not on the $7 or so. We have already wasted more time than it is worth and that is their hope. Ticket King has admitted to charging my credit card for the tickets I agreed to and also a seporate charge for tax. They have not show where I was made aware of the additional tax charge. I can send in my credit card statment that shows the two charges they have admitted to but it seems unnecessary if they admit to it. I beleive they worked with a third party vendor/ internet site as they stated but I never authorized the additional charge not was it posted on the site of purchase. The second charge of "tax" which is in contestation and the poor customer service was from their office.

The Janet Jackson Milwaukee show is not officially cancelled, and we understand that it can be frustrating for customers who purchased tickets. Our policy regarding no refunds unless the event is cancelled has more to do with the fact that we buy tickets in the secondary market, which means we may...

purchase tickets from hundreds if individuals, and resell them in kind. We have no direct access to the Bradley Center. In an effort to resolve this issue, we can make an exception in our policy and grant Ms. [redacted] a refund. Ms. [redacted] will need to return the tickets before we can issue the refund.

We are in the process of finding the website that Mr. [redacted] used. I hope to look through that website to see where the sales tax notice is displayed. I should have a reply in the next 48 hours.

Review: I purchased two tickets to a performance by [redacted] in Green Bay for the night of 4/14/14. I was purchasing the highest prices tickets. I was charged $$231.20 + $12.95. I still do not understand what the $12.95 is for. When I received the tickets, face value was only $39.75 each. When I contacted Ticket King, the response was: You ordered your tickets through a third party website. It is stated many times before you check out that the face value of the ticket may be more or less than what the face value is on the tickets.

I have attached a copy of the terms and polices you agreed to when you placed your order which it does state more than once you may be paying more than face value.

I understand this but I think it's unethical the way it's worded the face value of the ticket may be more or less than what the face value is on the tickets.

I paid over $164.00 more than the face value of the tickets. I just didn't understand their disclaimer and I believe they are taking advantage of the consumer.Desired Settlement: I'm hoping to get the difference that I was charged from then actual face value.

Response:

On February 8, 2014 Ms. [redacted] purchased tickets through another ticket broker that happens to be on what is called the "Ticket Network." We are part of the ticket network, and the actual supplier for the sale in question. The $12.95 charge in question is Wisconsin state sales tax. The website she used to purchase the tickets clearly states that all sales are final, and the face value on the ticket is not reflective of our costs to obtain, and then resell tickets in demand. Throughout the transaction process, every customer is reminded of that fact, and must actually agree to all prices and sales terms before their credit card purchase is finalized. We are sorry if Ms. [redacted] did not notice that she agreed to all sales terms, prices, and sales tax, but again, it's clearly stated during the checkout process. Lastly, the tickets were purchased on February 8th, for an event that took place on April 14. If there were any issues regarding prices, taxes or fees, we would have expected a call or email from the customer well before the event took place. We are sorry, but we are unable to refund Ms. [redacted] any portion of the sale.

Review: I purchased two Janet Jackson concert tickets. Event was scheduled to be held in Milwaukee, WI at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

I learned from social media that Janet Jackson sent out a video that she cannot honor her tour due to medical reasons.

I called Tuesday, April 11th, and spoke to Jasmine and asked how can I get my refund. She said I cannot give out refunds because it has not been officially canceled.

On their website it says 100 percent satisfaction guarantee and that I could get a refund if the event is not rescheduled.

According to their strict policy the event can be postponed indefinitely and ALL customers will suffer by losing out on hundreds of thousands of dollars because it can be postponed with no rescheduled date.

Ticket master and the BMO Harris Bradley center are giving full refunds. I believe Ticket King buys their tickets through the Bradley Center and then receives their refund. However, they will keep the money from customers of useless tickets. This is not right at all and I need my refund.Desired Settlement: Full refund and update their policy to protect consumers. If they will not update their policy to protect customers then update their website.

Update your website to include language that everyone can fully understand.

It should say the artist or act can postponed indefinitely and you will not receive a refund.
