Tidal Wave Carwash, Inc.

The following explains the situation relative to this dispute:
 
From Jan 2013 until March 2014 (without our knowledge) we had a software problem at Tidal Wave Carwash.  This problem prevented some transactions from being "settled" by [redacted] Paymentech (our credit processor)....

 In March a regular customer contacted me to say she was receiving free carwashes.  The preauthorized amount, typically $5-$10 wash showing up on her bank statement but the actual amount was never charged to her account and the preauthorized amount would go away.  I found out that the software company which integrates with [redacted] were aware of a problem that created this situation.  We had over 4,000 transactions that were in a "digital roadblock" that never settled with the bank.  These customers were never charged for the washes they pur[redacted]d with their card.  The amount of the unsettled charges exceeded $35,000.  We had two choices - either write off the unsettled amounts (something we could not afford to do) or "manually batch" the transactions so they would be settled.  When Mr. [redacted] saw the charges come through on his bank statement, the dates shown would have been 3/19;3/20; 3/21 because those were the dates the charges were Actually Settled with [redacted].  So, customers who washed in 1/13, 3/13, 7/13 etc. would have seen the SETTLEMENT date on their bank statement NOT the date of the actual wash whose charge was never settled at that time. 
 
We do not maintain a database of customer contacts, like most carwashes, therefore we had no way to contact customers to explain this situation.  So as soon as we discovered the problem, Notices were posted at all customer contact points at our facility on 4221 JFK Pkwy.  The published number for the car wash is WRONG due to an error by the phone company that Google, Yelp and others have republished.  That number goes to a dial up modem.  My number is 970-481-3349 and you now have my email and explanation.  There is NO fraud or illegal activity associated with this situation.  Thanks.
