I am rejecting this response because:
I not only want to be absolved of the $227.00 balance, but I want to be reimbursed for the $440.00 that we paid in advance for treatments that were going to be covered by Medicaid. In addition the statements that were provided by Tide dental are inaccurate. We provided the Medicaid insurance information on the first visit and this can be proved by the fact that we were asked by Tide Dental to pay $440.00 in advance for the treatment that Medicaid was going to cover and by the dates in the claims filed to Medicaid. The claims were denied by Medicaid due to improper filing and a lack of a signature upon which Tide Dental had a additional 120 days to correct the claims. Furthermore, Tide Dental stated that we were going to be reimbursed the $440.00 after the Medicaid claim was approved. Asking clients to pay in advance for treatments that will be covered by Medicaid is a practice that is illegal and should be stopped at once. So, once again I would like to be absolved of the $227.00 balance and reimbursed the $440.00 that I never should have paid in the first place.

December 23, 2014 To whom it may concern:   Emma, Operations Administrative Manager, received the complaint last week and we resolved it by Friday. There was communication between Manager and patient trying to get this matter resolved. When we first saw the patient we only received PPO insurance information. Unfortunately at that time the information was incorrect and requested additional information from the patient. There were time gaps in-between this because the patient would not call back the office to file claims in a timely manner. After the second time of receiving the corrected PPO insurance, patient alerted the office that they had medicaid as a third insurance. After getting all the EOBs from the primary and secondary insurance the filing limitations had passed on the medicaid side. You can see note that billing did try to submit. As a courtesy to the patient we wrote off the balance to correct any miscommunication between office and patient. Patient no longer has a balance on the account and this information has been communicated to the patient.     Tide Dental Corpus Christi
