Tidy Castle Enterprises Reviews (1)

March 4, 2015Dear Revdex.com,As a qualified Company of five years and painting/construction of hundreds of homes in the past years I am simply stating the following against these customer allegations.
11.9999990463257px;">We as a company where hired to perform the following duties in a timely matter within the criteria of 4 to 5 business days. Paint and sand all walls in the living room and hallway Areas which was done to specifications and was also Confirmed at the end of each day with customer on the progress and beautification of these areas of concern each day we where working at [redacted] Media, PA 19603. Chipping Wallpaper below front living room window was Also removed and patched with joint compound and sanded smooth for proper adhesion of paint.
As far as preparation of the living room itself, the condition of the living room was not properly prepared by customer as far as cleaning of flooring and furniture placement for us to work. It took extra time to clean up before we could even start prepping for painting due to these unsatisfactory conditions. Not to mention the home was heated at an almost unbearable temperature.
All furniture/items in the living room where covered with plastic drop cloth. All exposed wood flooring was also covered with cloth drop cloth. During placement of drop clothes to flooring there where paint spots in some areas on the floor. At the end of each day all drop clothes were removed off the floor and floors where vacuumed.
Customer was informed the day prior to contractor show that we will be arriving later the next day at approx. 1 pm to return working. As a company it is important for us to learn new products and continually gain knowledge of our trade. And even though we were still working on the project we still were within the timeframe of completion of the project. On Thursday evening customer had questions of what was finished on the project. I had explained to her that we had to finish painting a wall by her tv and spackle new wall, finish planeing door to basement(installed). Paint door to closet which was installed. Install front door and door trim. Theses items where going to be finished by the end of the day on Friday.
Customer then had questions about the estimate which was proposed at the sum of $2097.35 in which I asked for 30% of balance for materials which is the legal amount by PA contractor law. Customer paid more then balance via credit card in the sum of $1052.35 as per invoice. And had a remaining balance of $1045.00 due upon completion which would have been due had we been able to finish on Friday. After discuss the invoicing and balance due Customer then said this is my fault and I will try to get the remaining balance from my daughter to finish the work by tonight and give you a call later on that night. In which I never received a call that night for us to finish the work upon agreement of payment.
It wasn’t till later Friday morning I received a call from her Brother asking me to come down to review and finish the work. I explained to him that it costs me $40.00 in gas every time to go down there and I was only willing to deal with the homeowner. I also explained to him about the financial situation of the project in which Linda had ran out of money in which unless I was speaking to her I was not willing to come and finish work without payment. He asked me to call her at work which I thought was not appropriate. I emailed her and asked her to call me at the end of her work day to resolve the matter. In which she responded via email stating she would be calling the Revdex.com And filing suit against my Company for unfinished work or Unsatisfactory work.
It is to my knowledge and understanding per invoice there is a balance due for the actual completion of work in which we have performed. In concurrence, the remaining balance owed is $480.00. If front entrance door is returned (Which was not installed) or the sum of $480.00 is paid then the settlement of debt shall be satisfied.
Sincerely,
Tidy Castle EnterprisesCarl L[redacted] Jr. – Co-Owner
