Tidy Landscape

We had done business with Mr D before. His service had been mostly satisfactory. We contacted him for a large tree removal project and gave him a down payment. He took the down payment and several months have gone by with no work being done. We have attempted to contact him many times and he does not return our calls. Due to a major health issue, amputation and prosthesis I am cancelling this job and want a full refund of monies paid. My medical bills are mounting and since he did not provide the service we need our money back. We also helped him purchase a used truck as his previous one broke down. Total amount we would like returned to us is

Mr. D gave me a quote, of $1300 to remove a tree in my back yard. On May 30, 2018, his wife came by and I gave her a check for $650, 1/2 of the quote. It rained for a couple of days, I was contacted and Amanda told me they would be at my house on June 6, around 8 a.m. TO DATE, I have not had any calls from TY-RIFFIC, Ty D or his wife.
My check was cashed on May 30, 2018 and at this point in time feel I have been "robbed". I have continued to call to no avail.

This company did some tree work for me in 2017. The work was completed, but the yard was left torn up from the trees. We also have some drainage issues. We agreed for them to come back in 2018 to clean up, fix the drainage issue and plant new grass. They came back and described the work they would do, then asked for a down payment of $800. This was in March 2018. After many attempts to get them to come complete the work, they never came back. I left phone messages and texts. I have since hired another company to complete the work and left messages with Ty-riffic that I want my $800 refunded. But I have not gotten a response.

I contacted Mr D from Ty_Riffic on Friday 3/30/2018 and requested an estimate on installing topsoil and mulch in front flower beds and to install a second flower bed in backyard along with a power-wash of my house. (He was a referred to me from a family member last year and his team completed a project for me so wanted to hire him again) also, I asked Mr D to provide an estimate of the cost for the second bed. He provided an estimate of $650 for the first phase with $250 down. The next day he cleaned up the front bed but did not complete the entire front he mentioned he would complete soon. The weather was a bit rough over the next several days so could not complete all the landscaping. Mr D contacted me on Monday 4/9/18 and asked for a $125 payment so that he could order the soap to power wash my house but due to weather had not provide me a time frame due the weather yet but wanted to have on hand once it improved. He assured me that he could be trusted to get this done and to not worry.

On Thursday 4/12/18, Mr D came back and edged out the flower bed in my back yard but had not install the topsoil, shrubberies or mulch as he indicated that he would need to order from his vendor. He requested a third payment of $450 so he could place the order for the supplies. (As this point I have paid him $825 so far for his services) Mr D was suppose to come to my home on Thursday 4/26/18 to complete the landscaping but did not show or call me. I contact him that evening and he mentioned that his truck had broke down and promised he would be back the next day on Friday 4/27/18.

I come home from work that evening at 6:00pm and noticed nothing had been done and tried to contact him that evening and again on Saturday 4/28/18. After leaving multiple voicemail and text messages he still has not shown or returned my calls.

As of today, Monday 4/30/18 , I still have not heard a word back from Mr D or anyone from his team. I am very disappointed and feel ripped off by him.
