Tidy Tim's Portable Restrooms

The customer reserved a portable restroom for her wedding/reception to be delivered on Friday, August 21. I normally run any credit cards used for weekend rentals on the morning of delivery. In this case, this was the only credit card charge for that day and I
overlooked it. I tried to run it on the morning of Monday, August 24th and it declined. I decided to hold on to it and try again the next day. When I tried again on Tuesday, it declined again. I then called her that afternoon. When she answered I explained that the credit card that she gave us declined and ask if she had another card that she would want to use. She asked when I tried to run it and I told her. She then said that she had said to run the card when she ordered the restroom (on 7/28/15). I told her that I was sorry that I was not aware of that (our receptionist took the order) but that did not change the fact that she still owes us for the service that we provided. After a few minutes of her telling me how ridiculous this was, she gave me another credit card number. I thanked her, hung up and tried to run that card and it also declined. I called her right back and informed her of this and ask her how she could take care of the bill. She started in again about how we should have ran the charge on her card weeks before. I again apologized but told her there was nothing that I could do about that now and she still owed us the money. There seemed to be no reasoning with her and after a few minutes I asked Tim to talk to her. He is the one that set up the delivery the week before. He got on the phone and asked her what seemed to be the problem. She repeated what she was saying to me. He asked her why she hadn't questioned why the charge for the rental had not shown up on her credit card statement. She had no answer, just told him that her statement was none of his businessHe also asked her why she did not question him when he told her on Thursday, August that he saw that she had given us a credit card number and we would run that the next day. Also, no answer. He did raise his voice at one time but never used any foul language nor did he call her any namesShe ended the conversation by hanging up on him. We were more than willing to work with her if she could give us an idea of when she could pay it. It only makes sense that we would rather receive the money she owes us in a couple of payments or in a couple weeks than not at all. We value our customersThey are the only reason we have been in business for almost years
