This company has never reached out to me in the months since we moved out (they have not done their due diligence) and sent me to collections for a contract that we never signedThey have forged documentation to verify their claim to the collection agency In detail: The contract has no clause stating that they can demand more money than the initial depositHowever they are demanding that in addition to keeping our deposit that they can charge me fees for cleaningIn addition, we left the apartment in pristine condition including having the carpets dry cleanedIf you need further evidence for my claim, feel free to look up the reviews on google

This company has falsified repair costs that they charged me for, albeit I am on social security and section housingThey charged us almost dollars right before Christmas (December 2015) for repairs/damages they said "We were responsible for"This whole apartment complex has substandard plumbing and insulation, and very poorly taken care ofThe oven Shocked me twice when I went to turn it on after warning them that we needed a new oven about times before that happenedThey just kept "fixing" the old substandard oven that is probably thirty years old or olderThe plumbing has been "fixed" more than ten times in the five years that we have lived hereWhen I reported these things to them, their response was to attempt to blame my family for the problems, when they were very obviously pre-existing conditions of the propertyThey have discriminated against me, on multiple occasions and have outright ignored maintenance issues that needed attentionI believe that they are discr

My apartment's A/C has stopped working for the second time within a 2 weeks. This time the AC has been down for going on 4 days. My son has to stay in our unit everyday while I leave for work. The temperature is reaching high levels and I fear that it is becoming unsafe. I have reached out to my property manager and I do know that they are attempting to fix the issue. My concern/question is this, if my apartment gets too hot, should we be offered alternative housing or some kind of assistance to stay in a hotel while the repairs are being made? I do have renters insurance through Tier One as well and I've tried to find out the contact information for that with no luck. In speaking with the property manager he flat-out refused to offer any kind of remedy or relief while we are waiting for the AC to be repaired. My neighbors are older and they've stated that they are feeling ill and nauseous due to the heat. I spoke with some other tenants as well and they have children and animals and

I rent an apartment from Tier One Real Estate I made a maintenance request because the water for the dishwasher was not turning on when startingMy dishes are not getting clean and I thought maybe this was whyUpon inspection by maintenance the water turned on several minutes after starting the dishwasherHe indicated this was for this type of dishwasherBecause no repairs were made I was charged $for a maintenance feeMy lease agreement does not state I will be charged for maintenance callsThe only maintenance fee discussed in the lease is applicable if cause damage to the propertyI have lived in the apartment for years and had only two maintenance calls prior to thisI do not frivolously contact Tier One with multiple complaintsI should not be penalized because of ignorance as to how an appliance is supposed to workThe problem was new and I believed a repair was needed

HORRIBLE PEOPLE! My original review was negative because of Customer Service issues with JAiro hanging up on me when I called to ask about the status of my application days after I submitted it (website said 2-business days) he said it takes 3-days, I should get a response by Monday afternoon and then hung up on me
After that I decided it was obviously not a company that I would want to be leased to, and we found a house instead
Monday afternoon when he called me back, he asked me about check stubs, I told him that we had decided to go with a different company and he hung up on me AGAIN!
I left a one star review on their FB page and then received an UNBELIEVABLE Voicemail from an ANDREW EDWARDS who stated that he listened to the calls and I was lying and that if I didn't change my review he was going to reply to my review with statements that could be embarrassing to me that were on the background check that I agreed to on the application, and let me tell you, MR ANDREW EDWARDS; I WILL NOT BE THREATENED WITH SLANDERBe aware that your private information can be USED AGAINST YOU with this company
Dare to call me a liar again because I have your Voicemail saved and I would LOVE for the companies Owner to hear it
I hope you get fired, MR ANDREW EDWARDS, and JAiro gets fired and your company gets a slap in the face about how it treats possible clients and obviously the people that rent through you! Look at all of the other reviews because it doesn't matter how much you argue or misconstrue your "truths" with replies to them, people will look at all of the reviews in this day and age and your company will fail

TierOne real estate is a joke!! DO NOT, I advise anyone to NOT rent any place from themThey will milk you for all and any money they canThey are one of the most horrible management I have ever encountered!! Our complex was out of A/C for months during the hottest time of summerThey provided us with a window A/C unit but that was soon after a tentent passed out from in her apartment due to the heat and her year old son going next door to get help!! This is one of the most horrible place! I hate everything about them and how horrible of people they areI don’t understand how one company could be so wrong headedI could go on and on about the things I have gone through with the manager and the company, I haven’t even lived here longer then monthsDO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Stay the F away!!!!

In August we had a contract for an apartment in Provo The apartment was not ready on the move in date After a week of waiting we found another place Tier One office staff refused to return our security deposit months later, with a legal "Demand" letter, we finally got it Office staff in SLC was very unresponsive They did not follow the state landlord/tenant laws We feel fortunate we did not end up under contract with them

I honestly believe the only reason Tier One has any star ratings is because they offer everyone who leaves star rating a gift cardI rented a lovely apartment through Tier One for the past monthsI was so sad to leave it as I loved the apartment itself, the neighborhood, and my neighborsUnfortunately, the poor service and shadiness of Tier One drove me away and I couldn't wait to leave my home just so I would never have to deal with this company ever againOver my months renting through them, I had to continually call and email to have my concerns and problems taken care of, and had to eventually threaten to go to the Revdex.com to have the issues handled correctlyThe office staff is often rude and short when answering the phone, and if you try to go into the office to speak with someone without scheduling an appointment first, they will try to charge you a feeAbsolutely horrible management and customer serviceThey hold the interests and needs of the owners of the propert

TiER One Reality owes me my depositI have not received it I have called times and have not gotten a straight answerI also was charged a fee for being late on my rentI never received the prorated amountThe supervisor told me she would take care of itThe office manager refused to remove the fee even after I explained the situationHe refered to my having to move as a minor inconvenienceI paid a deposit on my new place and it literally took me months to find a new home

I held off on writing a review about this business for over a year because I felt that perhaps in these types of situations, it is better to let things goHowever, recent events have occurred that have prompted me to feel obligated to share with the public some of the issues that arose with Tier One
Our initial experience with Tier One was pleasantThey seemed responsive and open about the rental propertyIt was clear that we would be paying for various utilities and responsible for upkeep of the propertyTheir responsibilities involved turning on and off the heat, A/C, and water for the sprinklers
We moved in August and had experienced no issues until the following springNo one came to turn on our sprinkler system, resulting in our lawn browningWhen we emailed them about this through their resident portal, we were met with silenceThen after considerable browning, although not dying, they sent out a maintenance man to turn on the sprinkler system from inside the houseThis did not work and the sprinkler system would not turn onThe man left and later returned in the month with a new sprinkler systemWe had not turned on the system per their instructionThey later charged us for this system, claiming that we had broken it, despite our communication that they needed to turn it on
Another issue was regarding renters insuranceWe had purchased renters insurance through the end of our lease in AugustThey emailed us in July saying that they had no records of our renters insurance and they needed proof immediately or else they would charge us for it themselvesWe had always had renters insuranceThey had erased our documents off of the system; we are unsure of if this was due to a technical issue or human action
Finally, we were recently notified of an outstanding bill from Tier OneWe received this notification through a collections agencyThey had our forwarding address when we moved out and we have not changed address sinceThey never sent any bill to us nor did they make any effort to communicate with us about this matter, instead choosing to send the bill to collectionsThe bill has been resolved, however when communicating with Tier One, we were met with poor customer serviceHad we been initially communicated with regarding this bill, there would never have been any issueUnfortunately, Tier One does not work for the mutual interest of their renter

I'm on Section housing therefore I have low incomeMy rent per my lease agreement through 8/was $I put in my days notice and they upped my rent to $for the month of AugustThis is before my lease expiredThen they put a $late fee on my account and served me a day to pay or vacate noticeSo I paid what they wanted because if I didn't I would of lost my housingI talked to my housing worker who wasn't any help at all and just told me well if you don't pay you will lose housing assistanceAfter I paid I called the company and asked about the late feeThey went on to say something about the percentage of balance owedI said in my lease agreement it states a $only late fee so they said they would credit me $I then asked about the rent increase and he said he would put in a request for the $to be creditedI advised them I had to borrow the money from family so I wasn't evicted and if I could get the $back so I could pay them back a

The issues were plentiful and severeThey started on the day TierOne took over managementListed here are the most egregious abusesGetting maintenance was difficult at best and always incompetentI was often forced to fix things myself, even after maintenance had come to "fix" the problemThe apartment had a terrible smell from the wallsThe black mold may have been the cause of the smell and our constant illnesses while we lived thereThe customer service was terrible before we moved outUpon moving out, they ignored emails, hung up on us and otherwise ignored phone calls and refused to answer usAfter four months, we received notice from a collection agency that they had tried to charge us for cost of cleaning for a fictional amount representing our depositAfter more calls and emails, I was able to show them copies of our lease and that their fabricated number was not on our lease and that they in fact owed us a balance of $They promised to have it solved by the end

I moved into this complex the first of July and within days of being here the A/c unit went outIt was out for months during the hottest time of yearIt was a unlivable conditionThe lady in number passed out due to the heat being so bad and her toddler going next door to get help and the ambulance arrived, people having to take off work due to no sleep in the heat, neighbor below me throwing up outside, the kids having heat rash all over their bodyI was living else where for a month (this was days after moving in) we all were NOT compensated for anythingI still had to pay full months of rent AND utilities! They gave us window a/c units but that didn’t cool down the whole house or help at night when sleepingTo get any updates you have to call in and when you do call into the office they are flat out rude!!! They will hang up on youThey said it would maybe be fixed the next day and it was never doneThey never stick to their wordThey never sent out emails, calls,

Tier One's policy for repairs respective to a property they are managing is to get authorization from the owner unless 1- the repair is under $500, 2- the situation is an emergency AND an emergency repair is in the best interest of the tenant and the landlord AND the owner cannot be reachedIn all other cases, their agreement states that authorization from the owner is required
Tier One is now insisting that I pay a $invoice to an electrician for a repair that I didn't even know aboutIt was not an emergency and I was never contacted about the repairThey are even threatening me that they will place a lien on my property, effectively forcing me to pay the bill that I didn't authorize, cannot validate, and knew nothing about
