Tiffani Pools & Spas

Review: On or about July 6, 2015, one of the pumps stopped operating and we immediately contacted Tiffany Pools and Spas and requested service. The owner stated that he would examine the pump the next day and contact us with the resolution and the cost for the new pump and installation. It should be noted that all other features of the spa were working appropriately to include the second pump, the motherboard, the light and the touch pad and the heater. The owner called approximately three days later (on or about July 10, 2015) and stated that as a result of his inspection of the spa that the motor needed to be replaced at a cost of a total of $566.31. He was authorized to proceed with the work and was given the credit card number to order the pump. It took over two weeks to receive the pump and on Thursday, July 23, 2015 he sent a technician to replace the pump. After filling the spa and turning the power on, the unit would not work at all so the technician figured out that he had wired it into the unit inappropriately. He took the pump out again, changed the wiring, reinstalled the pump and the unit still did not work. He called the owner and he said that it could now be the motherboard (which was working perfectly prior to the pump not operating appropriately beginning July 7th). On Friday (July 24, 2015) the owner and the technician came out to examine the unit again. He said that he would have to order a new motherboard.

I was informed on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 that the motherboard would cost approximately $1082.00. We called them many times after the part was ordered on August 5, 2015 and they continued to tell us that the part was being shipped. This part was installed on Thursday, August 13 and the spa was filled on Friday, August 14 and when the circuit was turned on, it immediately buzzed and was tripped. They have not been able to repair the unit and someone came to our home, unauthorized and removed the new motor and motherboard.Desired Settlement: In the event the new company determines that the work that was completed by Tiffany pools and Spas ruined the circuit breaker in the circuit board, we would like restitution for the cost of repairing that issue. It should also be noted that a technician came to our home when, we were not present, and removed the new pump and circuit board without explanation and no contact from the store.
