Review: I brought in my dress to be cleaned after one wearing. I pointed out a stain in the back of the dress, which he noted. When I went to pick up the dress I noticed a big white stain in the front of the black dress that had not been there when the dress was brought in to be cleaned. The cleaner said that it was an imperfection in the material of the dress and to bring it back to the store where it was purchased, which I did. Lord and Taylor said that the cleaner was at fault, not them. When I returned to the store, the cleaner said he was not at fault, his machine made the stain. He would not admit that as the owner of the machine he had a responsibility for the stain and refused to do anything about it. I can not wear the dress.Desired Settlement: I would like the cleaner to admit that he was at fault and to reemburse me for the cost of the dress which was $80.00.

Review: On Dec [redacted] 2013 I took a coat that I had just purchased from [redacted] to Tiffany cleaners to be cleaned (it was a used I-Madison coat in excellent condition with a fox fur collar with sections of leather piping throughout) . I took the fur collar off before I took the coat into the cleaners. The young man who attended to me called [redacted] to the counter to look at the coat - I guess to make sure that there were no issues about cleaning the coat). The owner gave his approval and the young man wrote the ticket up to clean the coat for $10.99 and told me I could pick it up on Monday Dec [redacted] - nothing else was said about anything at that time. I went back to pick the coat up on Tuesday Dec [redacted] around 4:30pm - I paid the $10.99 and left without examining the coat which was wrapped up in a Tiffany's cleaners bag (I never unwrap the item to examine it before leaving the cleaners - I had been bringing my clothes to this cleaners for years). When I looked at the coat later on that night around 7pm I discovered that all of the leather piping on the coat was damaged and peeling off - it looked awful. Tiffany cleaners had closed at 5pm so I could not take the coat back that night and the next day was Christmas so I could not go back until Thursday Dec [redacted]. After [redacted] examined the coat when I brought it back - to my amazement he denied ever touching the coat to clean it. I asked him then why is there a charge of $10.99 to my credit card from Tiffany cleaners and why was the coat wrapped in one of their cleaner bags and why would he have ever accepted a coat that he claimed was damaged from the beginning into his shop in the first place. He said it was a mistake that I should not have been charged and insisted that they never touched the coat to clean it. Things got ugly - he is a big man and started ranting in a very loud voice as I tried desperately to defend my cause. I wound up calling the police because I felt so threatened by this deceitful lying raging person and could not figure out why he would lie so vehemently about something that we could have worked together to solve. I came in with the attitude that we could work this out -after all we all make mistakes. The owner was testy and unruly from the beginning when he realized I came in with a problem. Honestly I cried like a baby from the time the officers came and all the way home - I felt violated- humiliated and really let down - this is how I get paid for my patronage.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for the amount of money that I paid for the coat ($115.00 ) plus the $10.99 that Tiffany cleaners charged me to clean the coat for a total of $125.99. This is a very reasonable request since the coat is valued at more than I paid for it - in its new condition this I-Madison coat would cost more than $600.00..

Review: They broke something on my pants and refused to take the blame or offer a solution. The woman at the counter was extremely rude as was the young gentlemen with her. Did not let me speak with owner and just felt extremely betrayed and disrespected.Desired Settlement: I would like my pants to be repaired and for employees to be reprimanded for their inappropriate actions!

Review: On June [redacted], 2013, I dropped off 7 shirts for cleaning. On June [redacted], I went to pick up my shirts and was told they were not there. On June [redacted], I called the cleaners and they notified me that they had given my shirts to another customer. They told me that if the customer does not return the shirts within 30 days, they will pay their liability policy which is 10x their processing charge.

My concern is they also have a policy that says they are not responsible for any items left over 30 days. I am worried that when I return July [redacted] (They are closed from July [redacted]-July[redacted] for Fourth of July), they will then claim they are not responsible. They're liability policy also says they only owe us $70 (7 shirts x $.99 to clean each shirt) which does not adequately cover the price of the 7 shirts they lost.

When I attempted to get a written explanation from the store owner about what happened, they refused and kicked me out of the store.Desired Settlement: I want a reasonable refund for the items that were lost. I would also like a direct apology from the store owners for their awful customer service.
