Our review of the patient's account has resulted in these findings:
·         The date(s) of service of 07/01/2014 was filed to the patients insurance on 07/16/2014.
·         Ms. [redacted]'s insurance processed the claim on 07/25/2014; leaving the balance of $120.00 towards the patient deductible.
·         We have sent two statements out to Ms. [redacted]. The first statement was mailed on 08/02/2014; and the final notice of delinquency was mailed out of 10/11/2014.
·         Due to no response the account was turned over to collections on 11/11/2014.
As a result of these findings, we have taken the following corrective actions:
·         As a courtesy we have recalled the account from collections. I have spoken with the collection agency today and they have also closed the account on their end.
·         There is a balance of $120.00 due on the account with Quantum Radiology; the payment is due upon receipt of the itemized bill that I have requested to be mailed out today.
·         If Ms. [redacted] hasn't received the statement within 7 days, please follow-up with us by calling our customer service number at 855-871-1526.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait  for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.  I understand their issue but do not understand their reluctance to work WITH my insurance company to resolve this matter.  The way it was explained to me by my insurance company was that they just needed a few more pieces of information to process the claim.  I cannot understand why the lab won't just submit the additional information requested by my insurance.  I do wish, however, that the 2 of them (the lab and my insurance company) work this issue out on their own and not place me in the middle.  Thank U Revdex.com for resolving this issue for me.

As a result of these findings, we have taken the following corrective actions:The charges for $117,65 have been cancelled at the collection agency, a cancellation letter was sent to the patient and the account was adjusted to 50.00.
