I am rejecting this response because: The business is not being honest about our situation. They assured us they could help, that certain methods would be used, and that she was good with the 4 weeks she spent there. Everything changed after we saw that we did not get what we paid for.The information about the pup is incorrect. [redacted] was 16 months when brought for training, not even 1.5 yrs old and she most definitely did have some manners. She proved to be teachable, by following some basic commands which she had been taught by us. These included coming when called (Here), sitting upon command (Sit), and kenneling up when told to (Kennel). She also learned boundaries by use of a wireless fence collar system. So, she was a great candidate for the E-collar training which I was told she would learn with, but upon pick up found out she had NONE. Instead, we were advised to hit her with a Wiffle bat and use a choke chain collar. When I reached out, I expressed that she had not had any PROFESSIONAL training, not that she had no training at all. I also clearly expressed what we wanted from a trainer in regards to obedience and behavior. I was assured that the facility could help. Even when first evaluated with trainer Micah, he agreed she was totally workable. Micah got her to kennel in the transport truck with no problem even though other dogs were in there barking like crazy. She is a sweet dog and smart, with a loving spirit. Again, during training we were advised that she was doing great and learning and that she did not need any further time there. The story changed once we realized that we did NOT get what we paid for. Remediation is in order by way of refund.
Sincerely,

Food for thought -Please keep in mind that all dogs are different in their ability to learn and we recommend starting your youngster at 5 to 6 months of age.  You and your dog will benefit greatly from an early start.  The earlier you get started imprinting good habits... The less likely...

your pup will begin developing bad ones.  The particular dog in question was a two year old with not a single manner and terrible bad habits. The course offered was a 4 week course designed to strengthen and improve previously taught commands, which she had none. There was improvement in her manners but with such a bad start in life, she would have needed months of training to achieve the mind set for a nice, mannered companion. Remember, while the training outline is the same for each dog, the method and pace may differ based on your dog's temperament, socialization, and ability to learn. Not all dogs will follow the agenda set out in a training program. Every dog matures and learns at a different pace, but from our experience, the following is a general guideline of the proper training process. 2-3 months of solid training is truly needed for the very basics of Sit, Heel and Here. Our program that consist of a month's training is taking in that the dog has had the most basics started at home and has been in an environment for positive learning. This dog was not, so of course without he proper beginning, the results, although better, could not be achieved in a 4 week program.  We did the best we could with the student we were provided.
