On 8/1/2020 my car was towed from my place of residence. My mother called to tow company and asked how much it would cost to retrieve my vehicle. The person at the tow company stated they were not sure. The person at the tow company stated they would call my mother back in ten minutes with the amount. They never did. My mother called the tow company back about ten minutes later and asked for the address, that we would find out the amount when we got there. When we arrived we were told the amount would be $315. The amount on the sign stated $90 for the tow and $35 for storage. The car was towed on the same day we came to retrieve it and it had not even been in storage for 2 hours. We asked the tow person why the tow was this much. He said because it was after hours (no posted hours provided) and because of the type of tow. We asked how much would it be on Monday. He said $210. Then we said we will wait until Monday. He then asked "well how much do you have?" My mother said "the $210 that you said it would be on Monday". He then said "well do you have $250. I said I could not afford that but my mother said she would pay it because she did not trust the tow man and she feared my car would not be safe remaining there for the weekend. The tow person said we had to pay with cash because he could not take a credit/debit card. We had to go get cash and come back (took about ten minutes). This person was predatory and he needs to be shut down. I also had missing items taken from my car. The tow person gave a written receipt and did not have tow charges available for me to see what tow charges cost.
