This issue began when I came out from teaching at [redacted] ) this AM to see someone starting to hook my car up to tow it bc of [redacted] parking tickets I hadn't paid (long story but the tickets were under appeal as there was a mistake made with my license plate by [redacted] - that info was not showing up for the parking services person, unfortunately) When I ran over (not easy since I was in heels!), the man from A&B Auto had not hooked up anything yet, and when I very nicely asked him not to tow it, he shrugged and told me that he had to do itI asked the parking lady, and she said it was "entirely up to him." The location was literally 1/- blocks away from the service center, so it's not like he couldn't have let it go, especially since he hadn't hooked it up yetI practically BEGGED him not to do it and told him that I'm a single mom and I needed my car to go and get my child - I have no means of transportation otherwiseHe still refusedSo I said to him that he clearly had no heartAnd he gave me some flip reply, so I said, "What an [redacted] !" as I was walking away (loud enough for him to hear it)I also yelled, "If you get a scratch on my car hooking all that mess up, I will sue for damages!" From there, the parking person drove me to their offices so I could get a releaseThe supervisor there worked with me and we were able to easily and amicably resolve the issue to both our satisfactionsFrom there, I walked to A&B AutoWhen I got there, the guy told me that I had to pay $instead of $as it stated on my release form bc they had to use "special equipment" to tow itI questioned why it was my responsibility to pay for equipment that THEY have to use bc they don't have the right equipment to tow my car (which is a Chevy Equinox so not something unusual)?! He said it was because of how I had parked the car (if I had backed in, they could have done it without the extra equipment - given that most people park front end first, I still failed to see why I would be responsible for their tow vehicle shortcoming)Then I said that the guy at the counter (who appeared to be the manager or perhaps owner) that I had not had a pleasant experience with the person who towed my car to which he cut me off and jumped in saying, "Well from what he told me, YOU were the one with the attitude and told him he didn't have a heart, etc." I explained that I DID say that after I VERY NICELY asked him a few times not to tow my car --- and I pointed out that he could easily have walked away bc he was a block and a half away from the shop, not like he'd gone miles down the road with nothing to show for it in the endI was trying to give the full story to the guy at the desk, but he kept cutting me off and interrupting me, obviously not giving a dang what his customers have to say and that there are always TWO SIDES to each storyAs a person who worked in customer service as a manager for years, I know that things always seem to fall in betweenI am laying everything out that I said and did in this post bc I honestly was so angry after I tried to be nice several times and got nowhereI'm not proud of calling the guy an [redacted] , but I will own up to itThis guy's attitude told me he didn't care about my circumstancesHe said over me taking, "Sounds like you were being a ***!" I was shockedI said, "Well, I certainly won't be giving y'all MY business, that's for sure!" And he responded, "Good because we don't like [redacted] here!" I was so incensed by that I responded, "Well if I'M a ***, then karma is a bigger one so enjoy THAT!" and slammed the door on my way out I am beyond shocked by the behavior of this person, and I feel it is important for me to tell you that you may not want to recommend a business whose leadership refers to customers as " [redacted] ." I am happy to provide any other information you may need in order to investigate this further

This issue began when I came out from teaching at [redacted]) this AM to see someone starting to hook my car up to tow it bc of [redacted] parking tickets I hadn't paid (long story but the tickets were under appeal as there was a mistake made with my license plate by [redacted] - that info was not showing up for the parking services person, unfortunately).

When I ran over (not easy since I was in heels!), the man from A&B Auto had not hooked up anything yet, and when I very nicely asked him not to tow it, he shrugged and told me that he had to do it. I asked the parking lady, and she said it was "entirely up to him." The location was literally 1 1/2 - 2 blocks away from the service center, so it's not like he couldn't have let it go, especially since he hadn't hooked it up yet. I practically BEGGED him not to do it and told him that I'm a single mom and I needed my car to go and get my child - I have no means of transportation otherwise. He still refused. So I said to him that he clearly had no heart. And he gave me some flip reply, so I said, "What an [redacted]!" as I was walking away (loud enough for him to hear it). I also yelled, "If you get a scratch on my car hooking all that mess up, I will sue for damages!"

From there, the parking person drove me to their offices so I could get a release. The supervisor there worked with me and we were able to easily and amicably resolve the issue to both our satisfactions. From there, I walked to A&B Auto. When I got there, the guy told me that I had to pay $70 instead of $50 as it stated on my release form bc they had to use "special equipment" to tow it. I questioned why it was my responsibility to pay for equipment that THEY have to use bc they don't have the right equipment to tow my car (which is a 2014 Chevy Equinox so not something unusual)?! He said it was because of how I had parked the car (if I had backed in, they could have done it without the extra equipment - given that most people park front end first, I still failed to see why I would be responsible for their tow vehicle shortcoming). Then I said that the guy at the counter (who appeared to be the manager or perhaps owner) that I had not had a pleasant experience with the person who towed my car to which he cut me off and jumped in saying, "Well from what he told me, YOU were the one with the attitude and told him he didn't have a heart, etc." I explained that I DID say that after I VERY NICELY asked him a few times not to tow my car --- and I pointed out that he could easily have walked away bc he was a block and a half away from the shop, not like he'd gone 20 miles down the road with nothing to show for it in the end. I was trying to give the full story to the guy at the desk, but he kept cutting me off and interrupting me, obviously not giving a dang what his customers have to say and that there are always TWO SIDES to each story. As a person who worked in customer service as a manager for 13 years, I know that things always seem to fall in between. I am laying everything out that I said and did in this post bc I honestly was so angry after I tried to be nice several times and got nowhere. I'm not proud of calling the guy an [redacted], but I will own up to it. This guy's attitude told me he didn't care about my circumstances. He said over me taking, "Sounds like you were being a [redacted]!" I was shocked. I said, "Well, I certainly won't be giving y'all MY business, that's for sure!" And he responded, "Good because we don't like [redacted] here!" I was so incensed by that I responded, "Well if I'M a [redacted], then karma is a bigger one so enjoy THAT!" and slammed the door on my way out.
I am beyond shocked by the behavior of this person, and I feel it is important for me to tell you that you may not want to recommend a business whose leadership refers to customers as "[redacted]."
I am happy to provide any other information you may need in order to investigate this further.
