There are additional accessories added to the vehicle by the dealership and printed on an addendum sticker which was posted to the side of the Maroney sticker. We will provide a copy of the Maroney sticker along with the copy of the addendum that shows the aproducts. These items show the total cost of his vehicleThe salesperson involved in this transaction disagrees with the statements made by *** *** regarding a $1,discountAgain, the amount due *** *** is $

The MSRP on *** *** vehicle was $33,784. We will make available the pre sale sheet that shows the features and priceUpon further evaluation it is believed there was a charge for tint that was not put on the vehicleWe will refund *** *** the two hundred and eleven dollars
that was mistakenly charged

*** *** can come by my office and I will show him the original vehicle service agreement he signedIt was located at a separate storage location and we were able to have it brought to our dealership last week. Ms***,After speaking with Mr*** on the phone, our Service Manager, *** determined he needed to reevaluate the quote given to Mr***He requested the Parts Supplier resubmit the pricing. What *** was able to determine was the Parts Supplier provided him with list prices on all the parts needed instead of giving him the usual jobber prices. *** in turn added our mark up to what he thought was jobber pricingThis inflated the quote tremendously. In addition, the price was even more inflated because the Parts Supplier told him two latches were needed for the repair instead of only one. *** regrets not catching the mistake before he quoted the repair. It was an unfortunate honest mistake. He has tried to contact Mr*** with a new quote but has been unable to reach him. The only charge made to Mr*** was the diagnostic fee of $The fee was for the technician to determine what needed to be repaired. This vehicle is a Buick Terraza with a wheelchair accessible Braun conversion. We did not sell the vehicle to the ***s and do not have maintenance records. It has been in our shop one other time to replace a roller on the lift in When a conversion vehicle has a problem, the technician has to isolate the problem to determine if the problem is with the vehicle (OEM) or the aftermarket conversionThe vehicle was brought in to our facility with a complaint of an intermittent door issue. Sometimes it would open and sometimes it would not The technician did basic function testing on the conversion He performed a visual inspection of the door function and alignment of door contacts, as well as checked the battery for proper voltage to operate conversion. The technician then called Braun Tech Support Desk and after some initial testing and reviewing issues with power sliding door, Tech Support advised our technician to bypass the conversion to determine if it was OEM. With the direction of Tech Support, the technician unplugged the Braun controller and installed a jumper wire They performed several additional tests to attempt to isolate the problemAt this point, the door operator still was not working. The technician checked fuses, voltage, verified power and ground to door operator. He determined the OEM door operator/module was faulty and weak and also the contactor showed signs of wear due to the age which can also cause failure. These OEM parts needed to be replaced before the technician could determine if the conversion was operating properlyThis was a lengthy process and $was not an unreasonable amount to charge for the diagnostic. We regret Mr*** was given an incorrect quote. *** has a corrected quote for him and has tried to contact him. *** has included in his repair quote a 20% discount on the repair for any trouble and confusion he caused for him. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.*** ***American Lift AidsCalder ? Beaumont ? Texas ? 77702'Office: (409) 832-

Our Service Manager, *** ***, reviewed the file complaint as well as the estimate for repairs which was given to Mrand Mrs***. After reviewing the estimate and contacting the manufacturer, Mr*** realized he had misunderstood the manufacturer and only one latch was needed to
complete the repairHe quoted two. He contacted Mr*** by phone and explained what had happened and also went into detail about exactly how the vehicle diagnosed for the repair. He also followed up with an email to the customer with the detailed information and the customer understood why there was a charge. We corrected the estimate and the customer seemed to be satisfied

*** *** bought a vehicle service agreement contractThe terms of the policy are stated on the front page which reads they are computed from the day the vehicle was FIRST put in serviceUnderneath this statement is the warranty start date of 08/13/07. *** *** policy had
expired when his vehicle had the engine problemThe service manager who wrote up *** ***s repair order disputes the statement he was shown a notice regarding the oil consumption problemToyota pays the dealership a more than adequate amount if an engine needs repairs due to the customer support program for oil consumptionThe service manager had good reason to find a problem when *** *** vehicle was brought here but could not duplicate it. The dealership in Fort Walton beach sought assistance form Scion and/or Toyota but were declined. As stated previously, *** *** complaint referred to the vehicle service agreement he signedWe believe we have answered the complaintA copy of the vehicle service agreement is in his deal folder and available for his perusal

Revdex.com:
Thank you for your response. All I was given on time of purchase was a declaration sheet stating "effective date March 1st 2012" of the extended warranty. I have on three separate occasions been to Ray Brant Toyota to discuss the issue in person and have yet to receive the contract. All I have been given is a copy of the declaration sheet stating "effective date March 1st 2012" on row 5 of the document. This document also states the amount of miles and length of time of warranty. I have attached a picture of this document to this message so that you can see it. I need to be shown a copy of the extended warranty contract the dealership is referring to because it does not match the information I have been given.

The dealership's offer is unacceptable. First there is no mention of the $1,500 discount agreed to with the salesman, and second  there is no explanation as to why the MSRP (window sticker price) is different than the "pre-sale sheet" the dealership has alluded to but has not provided.  I am attaching a copy of the window sticker showing the $33,007 MSRP.  I am requesting $2,488 which includes the $1,500 discount and the $988 which is the amount the sales price exceeds the MSRP.  In addition to the $2,488 I will be happy to add the $211 to my request for tint the dealer states I was mistakenly charged but did not receive.

After telling me that he mistakenly ordered parts for both doors, the manager verbally gave me a price for parts that was still more than double what GM listed. GM price for contactor was $17. original quote from ALA was $115. Revised verbal was $39. I have not received a formal quote. The original quote states replacement of latch actuator on "power sliding door on the passenger side" for $1610. It is very clear he was not quoting two doors. This GM part list for $385.60.
I am still not satisfied with the verbal explanation of what I paid $95 for. I have no reason to suspect these items are faulty. If I move the door to a certain position, it will close automatically and the drive motor is operational. This appears to be an electrical issue and not mechanical.
