Tim McAvene's Original Services LLC was advertising in our local newspaper, The Register Herald, in just as he still does I answered the ad Shame on me for not checking with the Revdex.com first I requested him to refinish a large, claw foot, antique bath tub I had it done yrsearlier and it was a remarkable job done by an older gentleman It only was developing some thinning on the surface area in a few spots, but decided to have it repaired Tim McAvene's job was extremely shoddy He did the work May 20, In weeks the finish was peeling off in sheets! He had excuses not to return - his mother-in-law died in TN I waited weeks then months Then he had to go to TN to sell her house - always something He did come back a time or two in late and slop white finishing over the peeled areas, but then when I would call about more peeling he just never returned The tub is still peeling in sheets and now is rusting, something it never had done before! I want people to be aware that he knows nothing of how to refinish tubs I will not ever entertain the idea of him entering my home for any kind of repairs again I regret I ever read that ad and wish it could be pulled from the newspaper! That $has caused so much anguish that I KNOW I will check everything with the Revdex.com from now on!! Another problem? Who refinished old tubs?
