Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Sincerely, [redacted] ***? THANK YOU for your support and Tim's quick response.?

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: All of MrD [redacted] 's reply's are either [redacted] or out right lies My rebate from GE was $and I have received that I did sign off on the delivery of my appliances In my defense I received four appliance's on that day Stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer We started with the stove and ended with the W&D in the garage After they left I begin to think the refrigerator made far too much noise They delivered to me a broken refrigerator and they should have known better GE or Tim's do not have my best interest at heart Joe D [redacted] 's response is 100% hearsayAnd hearsay is not the truthSincerely, [redacted]

I am responding to your letter regarding Mr***
We did deliver a new GE refrigerator to Mr*** on 11/19/My delivery crew leveled and set the new refrigerator in placeIt started to cool down and everything was workingWe then had the customer sign the invoice that it was
received in good order and that there was no damage to his home or the refrigeratorWe have a copy of the signed invoice and so does Mr***
The following Monday he called and said that he thought the unit was noisyWe set up a warranty call to see what was going onOur serviceman with years experience told him that the fan was working as designed by GE; however we decided to replace the fan to make the customer happyThe fan had to be ordered so it took a while to arriveWhen we put the new fan into the refrigerator it made a marginable difference in the noiseHe was not happy but there was nothing more we could do under the terms of the warranty from GEWe instructed him to contact GE directly and see if they wanted us to try something else
The next thing I hear from our service department was now the refrigerator was making more noise and also damaged even though he inspected the refrigerator on delivery and signed okThe customer came into the store and demanded a new unitWe explained to him that due to the manufacturing process of “foamed-in-place” insulation, the exterior walls of the refrigerator are slightly wavyMy manager *** *** took him to ALL of the models from MANY brands that we have on display and showed him varying degrees of wavy sidesWe offered to come back out to see about the noise but he just wanted a new oneWe cannot do an exchange without prior authorization from GE
From there I understand that he called GE directly and had a service call from *** *** ***The service technician that GE factory sent out CONFIRMED our diagnosis in every wayMr*** apparently did not like the outcome and they sent another service technician who again confirmed the unit was operating at factory specs; but Mr*** said the sides were due to shippingI cannot confirm that, but I know there was NO SHIPPING DAMAGE on the unit when it was deliveredI also cannot confirm that the second technician from GE did anything inside the compressor compartment but no parts were ordered that I know ofIn any event if the noise was reduced by 75% the customer should be very satisfied
I do not understand the repeated reference to the “lemon law” he talks aboutAs I understand it if the SAME part is replaced times for the same reason then there may be recourse back to GE for the parts warranty but that again would be between the manufacture and the end user
In my years in the appliance industry I have never heard of a manufacturer settling for an “undisclosed” refund amountIf they do an adjustment for cause they call me to pick up the unit and return it to them and issue the credit to me so it can be applied to the new replacement unitEven more rarely they give the customer a full refund but still have me pick up the unitIn this case I have received no notification from GE to go any further
I am very sorry that Mr*** is unhappy with his GE refrigeratorWe strive to make every customer as happy with their purchase as possibleWe tried every possible solution available and as far as I can tell so did the GE COMPANYMr*** has a good quality refrigerator that is operating as designed and confirmed by THREE qualified appliance service techniciansI do not know what else we can do

We did go out on a service call for this customer on a FridayThe customer was correct that we did not have the correct part on the truckMy service technician was going to come back on the following Monday but the customer wanted him back on SaturdayBecause our tech did the diagnostic on his
washer, the customer knew what was needed and called another tech who showed up with the part we diagnosed and repaired the customers washer before we could get back on Monday.I still believe that the customer did get his washer diagnosed professionally from a service call over miles away from our store round tripWe did offer to get back out the next business dayHowever, in the spirit of good customer relations, we have written off the service call and the customer has been contacted
