In myself, Tim C***, the owner of Tim's Mid Ohio Home Improvements, and Shaun K***, one of my salesman, went down and met with *** *** in his home and sold him a GAF roofThis roof contained the GAF system plus warranty, that
consisted of a year shingle warranty that was non pro rated on labor and materials for the first years and pro rated the last years
For the first time in the and a half years that I have owned my business, I regret the fact that I did not record every conversation, nor take pictures of his existing drywall stains or damage that included yellow staining and paint flakingSeveral months after we installed his roof, Mr*** had called my office to report a leak across the front wall of his homeAt that time, Jim M***, our installer, went down to his house and could not find a leakShortly after that, Mr*** would call on a repeated basis and was belligerent and appeared to have been drinkingAfter several times of him calling, I myself along with Jim M*** went back to see Mr*** about the same leakWhen we arrived, I told Mr*** I wanted to go to where he had previously had the leaksThere is really no way for me to prove what I am saying, but I would swear that those are the same leaks that were there prior to us fixing his roofTo satisfy Mr***, we went up on that section of the roof and removed his gutter and redone the flashing on the front of his fascia boardApparently this in his mind had stopped whatever leak that he thought that he hadAfter that, I did not hear from him for about another year, stating that he had a leak after being belligerent with my secretary againI had to ask him not to call when he was drunkMr*** said that he had a leak around his box vent on the back section of his roof over top of his kitchenWhen the job was done in 2009, Tim's Mid-Ohio had removed that box vent at his request, sheeted over the hole and installed shinglesWhen we went back to look at the leak, we had found that Mr*** had hired another roofer to re-install a box vent in that areaHe repeatedly denies that he ever had anyone else working on his roofOddly, the box vent is a brand that we have never used and the cut out that we found in the attic is definetly proof that Mid-Ohio certainly did not install that box ventAt that time, we replaced his box ventI did not hear from him for another or yearsIn December Mr*** called my office, once again beligerant and appeared to have been drinking, saying that he was going to sue GAFTim's Mid-Ohio went back and inspected his roof and found a large number of shingles that were not sealed downWe took samples and sent them off to GAF warranty department as was instructed, and GAF offeredMr*** a complete settlement which he agreed and signed off onto on March 9thThen after agreeing to the settlement, which included a voucher for all materials and a for $for laborOnce again, Mr*** agreed to this settlementAfter agreeing to the settlement, he filed a claim with the Revdex.com stating that he was suing GAF
Since I have been in business since February of 2008, Tim's Mid-Ohio has performed work for over customers and has always maintained an A+ with the Revdex.comThe reason is we work diligently to make sure our customers are happy and try to bend over backwards for our customersI would hope that anyone reading this complaint would find it odd that for some reason I would not want to satisfy this one customerAs far as him stating in his complaint, that he didn't want Mid-Ohio to redo his roof, the only reason he is making that comment is because I told him I did not want to redo his roof

MrTim C***, owner of Mid-Ohio Home Improvement, LLC, is a liar on just about everything in his responseHis characterization of my rage/anger and dissatisfaction over leaking in the roof of my home as my being drunk is nothing short of slanderousThere were no leaks or water damage in my home before his roofing jobI've had to have a ladder beside my home to get up and replace tarps on parts of my roof after every wind and rain storm for six yearsHe is also lying about the ventHis men went to Lowes to buy a vent I never had any other roofers working on my roofRecently, I've had several roofing companies inspect my roofThey have found that shingles should not have been put on my roof because of the low sloping areas Instead, they should have put rolled roofing or rubber on these areasIf GAF knew that their shingles were put on a low sloping roof, I don't think they would have made a settlement and Mid-Ohio would no longer be considered a qualified installer of GAF materials
I've had four different roofing companies tell me they would not put shingles on the low sloping area because there is not enough pitchThe GAF voucher did not include materials for a low sloping roofTim C*** lied to GAF and to me to get this settlement that still does not fix the leaking problem that I haveThe amount of shingles needs to be swapped for rolled roofing or rubberI have been told that any knowledgeable roofer should have known that shingles would not be appropriate for low sloping areas of my roof and that they should have never been put on in the first place
MrC***'s response to the Revdex.com is basically lies in his effort to get out of his ten year warranty contract with meThe end result is he did not know what he was doing by installing shingles on a low sloping roofMid-Ohio should swap out the shingles for rubber roofing and pay to have it put on the low sloping part of my roof out of the $10,I paid them
I have one and one half rolls of tape recorded conversations and have over pictures to prove all of my complaintsI don't have to lie as does MrC***
