Mrs. [redacted] requesting that Timber Creek is responsible for a roof leak at their home.

All new homes at Timber Creek have a one year warranty and it is stated in the contract that Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] signed with Timber Creek. This is also the standard for the general residential housing industry. The water leak occurring now is happening approximately six and one half years after the purchase of the home.
Timber Creek was originally made aware of a roof leak four and a half years after the purchase of the home, which is three and a half years after the warranty, had expired. Timber Creek was not responsible for the repair at that time, but sent a sub-contractor to repair the leak in a good will effort to keep our customer happy. Once the repair was completed, we did not hear from them again.
Roof pipe vents and flashing are items which are exposed to the elements of weather and can fail at different times.
Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] have now owned their home for approximately six and a half years. We are sorry that Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] has a roof leak, however, Timber Creek is not responsible for this repair. It is approximately five and one half years since the warranty expired.
