Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I believe the service department at Timber Ford could have found these issues has they done a thorough inspection of the vehicleThey were notified with a reasonable amount time after I noticed the defects which was just days after purchaseI feel it unreasonable for Timber Ford not to remedy the defects as they were improperly reported to meI understand I purchased the vehicle "AS-IS" but I was not given a written or verbal explaination of ANY problems, defects or repairs neededI previously purchased a used "AS-IS" vehicle from this dealer and all the problems and repairs needed were clearly listed on the window sticker, I was not mis-lead with a clean window stickerThey should sell a vehicle in proper working & safe condition and I feel they have not done that A discussion was made prior to any agreement on price that the front differential mounts be checked, which was doneI did test drive the vehicle prior to purchase and prior to signing any papersThe vehicle seemed to drive and shift properlyI looked the vehicle over/looked underneath but I am not a mechanicDuring my review of the vehicle I did notice the inadequate exhaust hanger (prior to purchase) at which point an agreement was made that Timber Ford would order the part and I volunteered to install that myself at no charge to themThe passenger side mirror was cracked/broken and not in proper working conditionI agreed to accept a used mirrorAFTER signing the paperwork I was informed the mirror "cost too much"Funny how things change after you signI find it unfair for Timber Ford to replace or fix only the parts they choose based on price The vehicle went through the Wisconsin madatory used vehicel inspection process, "passed" and was put on the lot for sale with brakes and rotors needing replaced, excessive play in the Pitman Arm, leaking seals, a bad front drivers side axel, a non-functioning side mirror and a bad exhaust hanger I would agree to Timber Ford purchasing the following MOOG Brand parts: Pitman Arm, front drivers side axel, passenger side accordian style automatic mirror, exhaust hanger and idler arm & for the Timber Ford service department to perform the alignment after repairs are completeI am willing to take this vehicle to another mechanic, more trustworthly to me, to perform the repairs at my expense Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I believe the service department at Timber Ford could have found these issues has they done a thorough inspection of the vehicle. They were notified with a reasonable amount time after I noticed the defects which was just days after purchase. I feel it unreasonable for Timber Ford not to remedy the defects as they were improperly reported to me. I understand I purchased the vehicle "AS-IS" but I was not given a written or verbal explaination of ANY problems, defects or repairs needed. I previously purchased a used "AS-IS" vehicle from this dealer and all the problems and repairs needed were clearly listed on the window sticker, I was not mis-lead with a clean window sticker. They should sell a vehicle in proper working & safe condition and I feel they have not done that.
A discussion was made prior to any agreement on price that the front differential mounts be checked, which was done. I did test drive the vehicle prior to purchase and prior to signing any papers. The vehicle seemed to drive and shift properly. I looked the vehicle over/looked underneath but I am not a mechanic. During my review of the vehicle I did notice the inadequate exhaust hanger (prior to purchase) at which point an agreement was made that Timber Ford would order the part and I volunteered to install that myself at no charge to them. The passenger side mirror was cracked/broken and not in proper working condition. I agreed to accept a used mirror. AFTER signing the paperwork I was informed the mirror "cost too much". Funny how things change after you sign. I find it unfair for Timber Ford to replace or fix only the parts they choose based on price.
The vehicle went through the Wisconsin madatory used vehicel inspection process, "passed" and was put on the lot for sale with brakes and rotors needing replaced, excessive play in the Pitman Arm, leaking seals, a bad front drivers side axel, a non-functioning side mirror and a bad exhaust hanger.
I would agree to Timber Ford purchasing the following MOOG Brand parts: Pitman Arm, front drivers side axel, passenger side accordian style automatic mirror, exhaust hanger and idler arm & for the Timber Ford service department to perform the alignment after repairs are complete. I am willing to take this vehicle to another mechanic, more trustworthly to me, to perform the repairs at my expense.

With regards to Mr. [redacted] most recent request (dated September 30th).  If Mr. [redacted] agrees to consider the situation resolved, settled and discontinue pursuing myself or Timber Ford of Hayward for any future work on said truck I will revise my previous offer from $250 to $350 today.  I will mail a check today (October 2nd, 2014) to Mr. [redacted] to use on his truck however he decides.  I will say again, I believe it would behoove both parties if Mr. [redacted] would have his current and future repairs done at a repair shop of his choosing other than mine.

This is my final attempt at conciliation.  I will consider this offer accepted by Mr. [redacted] cashing my check for the $350.

[redacted] I give you permission to pass on this email to Mr. [redacted] and post on our complaint case file ID [redacted].
