received an e-mail from [redacted]'s fiancee. He said they were experiencing family difficulties and would need to postpone their wedding date until 2018. They stated that they would like to pursue another date, and would make payments towards a new date.[redacted] inquired about several new dates in 2018- however, the dates she were interested in would be at a much higher rate per person, as the new dates are considered "in season" . I offered her March of 2019 for the same price point as her original date.All along, very nice correspondence.On April *, 2017 of this year, [redacted] informed me that she wanted a refund.As stated in her signed contract, a refund is issued for the full amount less $500 if the date is re-booked for the same cost or more. The new date booked is $20.00 less per person, and less guests as well, due to the shorter time between now and the wedding date.I left [redacted] a message, stating that her deposit was not refundable as stated in the contract. Again, I offered her another date in the same price point as her original booking. I did leave the message during the work day, as that is when our office is open.I do have all the e-mails that have gone back and forth, and they were all answered in a timely manner. We had a lovely rapport, several meetings, and the couple also attended a showcase as well.In the interest of good faith, I will be submitting a request for a refund in the amount of $3000 to [redacted] and Mr. K[redacted].We wish them nothing but the best, and are sorry they will not be hosting their dream wedding at the [redacted]Thank you for your attention to this matter.
