On July 29th my wife and I visited a website at *** which featured golf balls (Buy 1 Get One Free (***). We proceeded to the Discount Golf Store on Maley Drive in Sudbury to purchase golf balls and shoes. At the store we were abruptly informed that this was an "old ad and no longer applied and that there were no such *** balls in the store". We proceeded to challenge the associate as we found *** balls and to honour the ad, but he insisted that those particular balls didn't apply (the add indicated "All Models!" and further that "someone must have forgotten to remove the link".
This is not our first distasteful experience at this store: Discount Golf has a perceived monopoly on golf equipment and attire in Sudbury (we also went for ladies shoes as they are the only retail outlet to sell these) and admittedly the associate was very unprofessional. We'd like to add that while we wore masks inside the store (out of respect for the Covid situation), not one associate wore a mask adding to our further discomfort. I Thank you.
The customer's complaint is justified. We had a promo on the *** golfballs that was to have lasted until just after Father's Day . Unfortunately it was not taken down so the customer came in expecting the 2 for 1 deal and he should have received it. The ad has since been removed.
I will let the store staff know that they can honour this deal for the customer on ALL *** golfballs.
And the staff have been informed they must wear masks while working from now on.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
We received a personal phone call, apology and they will honor the price adjustment as advertised. We are very happy with the prompt and professional reply from this store.
