Review: Long story short, Time Disposal is a company that provided trash pickup and disposal in our area. The way they do their billing, customers pay for 3 months of service ahead of time (i.e. in December, you would be paying for the next 3 months of January, February and March, in March you would pay for April, May and June, etc.), which I question as a proper business model. I had paid for service thru June 30, 2015. I moved out of the house and to another state on June 28, 2015. The home was completely vacant and our trash can was never put out for collection between June 28, 2015 and early November 2015, when our house sold. Well, instead of just letting it go, Time Disposal decided to bill me for the 4 months of no trash pickup simply because I didn’t call them to “officially” cancel the service. I even called Time Disposal to resolve the issue, I presented my argument and made it clear to them that I would not be paying for 4 months of non-provided services, and I was basically given the “too bad, too sad” response, it was my fault for not “officially” cancelling the service. This is crazy, they shouldn't be able to bill me for services not provided simply due to a technicality. They even filed it with a collection agency, apparently trying to intimidate me into paying, which really infuriates me.Desired Settlement: As far as I'm concerned, I paid for and services were provided thru the end of June 2015, so the business agreement is over at that point. I wasn't there from July 2015 on, so I shouldn't be paying for "future" service that wasn't needed, plain and simple. Just because I didn't "officially" cancel the service when we moved doesn't give them the right to bill me for services not provided over a 4 month period and then submit it to a collection agency to bully me into paying. I request that this issue be dropped completely, and any negative information on my credit report be expunged. It infuriates me that they can be allowed to affect my credit report in an attempt to collect money for services that were NOT PROVIDED! Makes me wonder how many times they've done this to other customers, who may have just paid it to be done with it.
