Review: I have been a subscriber to the TIMES LITERARY SUPPLEMENT, or TLS, for many years. Last October, I renewed my subscription in the amount of $169, paid by check which was cashed by TLS/America or OCS. In December I realized I had not received the TLS since October 1st. I wrote by email to the company in Long Island City, NY, to report this and since then the saga has developed as follows:First TLS/OCS claimed that they had been informed by the USPS that I had moved. Which I had not.Then I asked our local post office and carrier whether they knew anything about this (we still receive all our other mail) and they had no record of anyone submitting such information to TLS/OCS. I wrote back to TLS/OCS and asked for a copy of the information they had received from USPS.TLS/OCS claimed that was not possible because they get such information electronically every week on a list.By the end of December, thoroughly disillusioned by all this, I asked to cancel my subscription to TLS/OCS and give me a refund, to which TLS/OCS agreed. Since I was so annoyed TLS/OCS in fact offered to cancel my subscription and send a refund.On January **, 2014 TLS/OCS wrote to say a refund check would be sent in two weeks.Yesterday, almost a month later, I still had no check and asked again to have the refund of $169 as soon as possible.TLS/OCS - the American distributor for the TLS magazine, to my amazement, wrote back that the check was sent by accident to the TLS Offices in England. This I believe as much as I believe the "you have moved" story.For some reason the US Distributor is failing to send the actual check even though, in principle, they agreed to a refund. To claim to have sent MY refund check to the TLS mother company in England is, essentially, moving my money to another TLS account. Can you help me retrieving my refund?
