I am rejecting this response because:Their wriand what my husband explained to me are completely differentAs far as the driver not knocking on the door or ringing the doorbell is unacceptable to usMy husband does not have the best hearing and did not hear the "very loud" truck idling in the drivewayFunny, when we did call another company, they were there within the hour to deliver fuel(at a rate totaling $more than Timmons, and found what happened with Timmons horrifying) My husband did not become hostile until the "brother" called him a dumb-*** for letting his fuel tank get emptyWe have never had a home that used fuel oilThis is our first fuel oil fueled homeTo belittle a customer is completely unacceptableUpon unfavorable response from the company that we no longer wish to do business with, I am sure that my husband will be blasting them on every social media outlet and word or mouth he can manage to findHe does work with the publicWe no longer wish to do business with Timmons Oil Company and after a lot of consideration, will never recommend them to anyoneMy husband works in customer service and if an irate customer comes in to see him, he cannot speak to them the way the "brother" spoke to him, he would be firedSo, consider this us firing your company, Timmons Oil, and word of mouth, I'm sure will spread pretty quickly around town how you treat your "customers" that have only purchased oil from you onceThere goes a potential long-term customer that you burnt a bridge withI did not see any apology in the response from the company, and find that to be unacceptableI had hoped for an amicable reconciliation, but see they do not have a problem with speaking in this manner to clients

March 10, 2016In regards to the complaint #[redacted], the following is the Timmons Oil side of the incident. Our company received a call for a fuel oil delivery the afternoon of March 1, 2016 from the customer in question. We were told the tank was empty, but because it was late in the day and we had...

no fuel truck in that area, we scheduled a delivery for the afternoon of March 2, 2016. That morning, we also received a call confirming the delivery for the afternoon. Since we had only delivered to this customer once before, this account is coded as "payment upon delivery" and someone was to be home in the afternoon to pay the driver. Our driver pulled up to the house at approximately 1:15 pm, went to the back door to look for the payment and found none. He knocked on the door, no one answered, so he went to the front door. He found no payment there either. He got back in the fuel truck to radio to our office about the situation. I called the only phone number we had at the time. It was the wife's cellphone. No one answered, So I let a message on voice mail. I then radioed back to the driver to move on to his next delivery. The driver was at the house at least five minutes with the truck running and the truck is not a quiet vehicle. About ten minutes later the wife called back to say the husband had been home since 12:30. asked why he didn't answer the door. The wife didn't know. I also asked for the husband's name and phone number and added that to our account information. I radioed the driver to see how far away he was by that time. He was already headed to Waynesboro to finish his deliveries. I called the wife to say we'd have to reschedule the delivery for the next day.The husband then called our office and was very angry. The secretary that answered the phone referred him to speak with me. When I got on the phone, the husband yelled that he was out of fuel, had been there since 12:30 and wanted the driver to come back. I said the driver was now out of the area and why did the husband not answer the door when the driver knocked. He never answered that question, but started Swearing, using the "f" word three times in a matter of seconds. I said "You don't need to talk to me like that, maybe you should call another company. We don't need to put up with that kind of language!" At that point, my brother took the phone. My brother radioed the driver to ask if he had rang the doorbell. The driver said he knocked because you can never tell if a person's doorbell works or not. The husband was irate, using the "f' word multiple times again. My brother explained that the driver was too far away to come back to this house and we could come back the next day. He also told him he could get five gallons of kerosene to put in the tank to get his furnace started. The husband said he wouldn't do that. When the customer referred to our "stupid f-ing driver who doesn't know how to ring a doorbell", my brother lost his patience and said he was the "dumb -ss" that left the tank run empty and we don't need customers like this. Heshould call the fuel company near him to buy his fuel. This man than called my brother a "mother f-er". My brother then repeated the statement about running out of fuel and that he should call someone else to be his fuel supplier. The customer then stated that he was going to "slam us on [redacted]".My brother realizes that he shouldn't have called the customer a name, but this man is the type of person that we would prefer not to do business with in the future. We pride our business on fast, friendly fuel delivery at affordable prices. He admits that by the end of the conversation, he wasn't very friendly. But the number of times this customer used the "f" word, and calling the driver that name, caused him to lose his cool.In order for our company to be successful, we rely on customers to buy our products. We don't need unruly, belligerent or hostile customers who threaten us. We do not want these people as our customers. Our price may be the lowest in town, but that doesn't mean that we are desperate for customers, especially not ones who speak the language that this customer uses.If someone from the Revdex.com needs to speak with us in person, feel free to do So. Our phone numbers are listed above.Thank you for your time,Wendy W.
