I do think that this matter should still be posted as a warning to other who would do business with this establishment that fair treatment will only come about with a complaint to the Revdex.com.

Review: Timmy's shakedownThursday, Sept **, 2014, I visit to see if the restaurant is suitable for a table of nine or ten/party on Sunday, Sept **, at 3 pm. [redacted] is standing around listening to the conversation about the reservation and says nothing. I say it looks good and that I will confirm it with an accurate number tomorrow. On Friday, Sept **, I tell all the guests when and where it will be, then I go to confirm that the number will be nine. When trying to confirm, only then, [redacted] tells me there will be a charge for the space dependent on the time we'll be there. I say this is unfair and that he's taking advantage of the situation because I've already given the group the information. After back and forth about whether it's regular menu or catered (not a question in my mind), I say it will just be the regular menu and it's decided it will be three hours. He says it will be $300 and requests a deposit. He runs my credit card to charge it $100. On Saturday morning, Sept **, I call and speak to [redacted] (###-###-####, 10:46 am) about canceling the reservation. He says I have to come in so that a refund for the deposit can be issued. I arrive there at about 1 pm to cancel the reservation and see [redacted] to do it. He says that will be fine and takes my credit card. Instead of running the credit card through the point-of-sale reader to reverse the charge, he writes the numbers down from the face of the card on a piece of paper. I ask him if he'll be running the card and he replies, "I have to call the companydon't worry." I say, "Really? I'll be watching for it."As of Sept. **, no refund has been issued by the credit card company.Desired Settlement: Issue a refund as offered and required. [redacted] is basically a dishonest person; he demonstrated no intention to complete the transaction fairly. He is a blight on the business community; his operating license should be revoked.
