Timothy A. Riley Reviews (1)
[redacted] was hired through my realtor, [redacted]. The agreement was for plumbing and roofing repairs to be completed as per an email sent by [redacted] to [redacted] for all plumbing and roofing repairs that were noted on the inspection report done by [redacted] came to my home with his helper on 6-23-13 to make all the repairs. He nailed in some nails which were sticking out on the roof and said he applied some glue around the nails. 2nd he said he installed some type of toggle, 3rd he tightened the screws in the half bath on the toilet- this seems to be ok, 4th he tightened the screws on the Master Bath toilet which in turn he broke the flange. This made quite the mess. He sent his helper to buy a wax seal but I'm quite sure he did not fix the flange and did not seal the toilet to the floor. [redacted] also put the hot water heater door on as he said it was laying to the side of the unit as was easy. I asked him, if he did not mind, to get his ladder and get a piece of caulking that was in the crawl space (large area above the front door for displaying) and he said no problem and pulled the weather stripping out from the window. I have not had a chance to get a ladder to see exactly what he did there as this was not part of the agreement.
At this time [redacted] said he was leaving and I asked if I could pay him. Mr. [redacted] said yes and that he would return to finish the rest of the work. I admitted I needed to print out the inspection report to see exactly what all he was to repair. He said this was no problem. I asked him for the amount to pay him. He said $725.00. I asked him if he was sure because the agreed amount was $750.00. Mr. [redacted] said yes.
Since I have called his cell phone. I waited several months before calling. He refuses my calls and eventually I had my husband, Troy Stokes, call him. He argued with him stating I asked him to do things that were not on the list and that the agreement was between him and [redacted] the realtor. I contacted my realtor and asked for the list Mr.[redacted] was to complete. Needless to say there are endless repairs he did not complete. I have tried on numerous occasions to call his phone. I have left message after message. I asked him to make it right. Still, no reply.
The thing I suppose that really upsets me is [redacted] represents himself as a man of God. He has a crucifix on his business card along with quote from the bible "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Phil 4:13
Also, through conversation, I asked him if he was a friend of Bill Wilson's and he said he wasn't but his wife was a friend. There is a certain integrity that goes along with the name "Bill Wilson" and this is primarily the reason I trusted him to complete the job as he said he would do. Today, Dec. 9, 2013, I called several times again with no answer.
Please help me to resolve this issue.
