The Billing process with this clinic is ridiculous I took my son who is covered under his father's insurance to the doctor's office in July In NOVEMBER my minor son received a "Final Notice" that states they will send him to collections if he doesn't pay this bill Needless to say, I was shocked that my son would be threatened with such actionI called the number on the letter to ask why they billed him and not the responsible party I was told this was an error and it would be fixed and that my son should have never been billed since he is a minorI was told it would be taken care of and he would not received another notice However, yesterday on 12-06-16, we received another "Final Notice" to my son threatening collections on this bill This really upset me because I was guaranteed that it was billed incorrectly and would be taken care of, that my son would not receive another notice and his name would be removed as the responsible partyI called the number on the notice....again I was told by "***" that I was wrong and that my son is responsible I asked for a Supervisor and was put on hold for mins then transferred (without asking me) to a voicemail I left a message with the details of my call I did not hear back and called again to speak to a Supervisor After answering several questions I was put on hold again and then "***" picked up the phone and told me her Supervisor was not at her desk and asked if I wanted to leave a voicemail I told her no, I already did thatShe then tried to tell me that my son is responsible to the billI argued with her telling her a minor child is NOT responsible for their medical bills and that is ridiculous to think so I asked her to look at the DOS (date of service) and she literally said to me: "stop telling me what to do" Isn't it her job to look things up? Isn't this her job? I told her she was wrong and that this needed to be cleared up and I wanted to speak to a Supervisor She got upset with me, told me to have a good day and HUNG UP THE PHONE! Is this really how the Toledo Clinic trains their people to handle patient billing issues? A minor lacks the capacity or legal ability to enter into a contract! That's why medical providers require their parents to sign financial responsibility agreements before providing careTo attempt to collect the debt on which the creditor cannot show a contract or an underlying basis would violate the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act

I have seen Dr *** *** , many times in the past year at the Toledo Clinic Each time he spends LITERALLY 3-5,MINUTES WITH ME ( though he bills my insurance company for a minute consult) His body language is poor: Arms crossed, sends the message that he is very busy and I am an INTERRUPTION TO HIS DAY and he DOES NOT WANT TO TALK TO ME
He has literately has, started walking out of the room while I still have questions and concerns, I have had to follow him down the hallway to get answers, the whole time his medical assistant is looking at me like I am inconveniencing the doctor
He has demonstrated a lack of knowledge in regards to preparing for a visit with him: ("I don't have those results back yet" even though he GAVE ME THE RESULTS ON A PRIOR VISIT.") He is very short, quick and out the door as fast as he can be
He needs to show GENUINE concern, not act like the clock is ticking, spend time with his patients, LISTEN to his patientsEXPLAIN things and RE-ASSURE you SLOW DOWN
His bed side manner is the absolute WORST I have experienced in a doctor
Every time I have seen him, I have walked away with the feeling he really does not care about you, he could care less if you come back again or not You are just a number to him, nothing more

I was referred to Toledo Clinic Facial Plastics. When I received the call there was a problem with communication. I thought , and put on my calendar, that the appointment was for July 21, 2016. My wife was in the hospital and when the paperwork was mailed, I put it aside. I opened it on July 20, thinking my my appointment was the next day. It was for June 21, 2016. I called and explained the situation, and the fact my wife had been in the hospital. I was told since I was a no show no call they would not reschedule. My wife is a medical professional, and I understand that they have these policies. However, I am not for certain they did not give me the wrong date on the phone. I find it unconscionable that they could not make an exception when someone's spouse is in the hospital in Columbus Ohio. I do not say I am blameless, but there were extenuating43616 circumstances.

The Billing process with this clinic is ridiculous. I took my son who is covered under his father's insurance to the doctor's office in July 2016. In NOVEMBER my minor son received a "Final Notice" that states they will send him to collections if he doesn't pay this bill. Needless to say, I was shocked that my son would be threatened with such action. I called the number on the letter to ask why they billed him and not the responsible party. I was told this was an error and it would be fixed and that my son should have never been billed since he is a minor. I was told it would be taken care of and he would not received another notice. However, yesterday on 12-06-16, we received another "Final Notice" to my son threatening collections on this bill. This really upset me because I was guaranteed that it was billed incorrectly and would be taken care of, that my son would not receive another notice and his name would be removed as the responsible party. I called the number on the notice....again. I was told by "[redacted]" that I was wrong and that my son is responsible. I asked for a Supervisor and was put on hold for 9 mins then transferred (without asking me) to a voicemail. I left a message with the details of my call. I did not hear back and called again to speak to a Supervisor. After answering several questions I was put on hold again and then "[redacted]" picked up the phone and told me her Supervisor was not at her desk and asked if I wanted to leave a voicemail. I told her no, I already did that. She then tried to tell me that my son is responsible to the bill. I argued with her telling her a minor child is NOT responsible for their medical bills and that is ridiculous to think so. I asked her to look at the DOS (date of service) and she literally said to me: "stop telling me what to do". Isn't it her job to look things up? Isn't this her job? I told her she was wrong and that this needed to be cleared up and I wanted to speak to a Supervisor. She got upset with me, told me to have a good day and HUNG UP THE PHONE!
