Timothy Meyer Insurance Inc Reviews (1)

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/06/16) */
June 14, 2014: *** came in and set up auto insurance for his Chevrolet ImpalaHe set up the policy with the following coverage:
o Liability limits of 30/60/10, Comprehensive and collision deductibles of $each, $20,Personal
Injury and Uninsured/Underinsured limits of 30/It is standard procedure for our office to advise customers to increase their liability limits from the state minimums
January 22, 2015: *** called the office to remove the lien holder listed on the policy and he also deleted the comprehensive and collision coverage's at the same timeIt is standard procedure for our office to advise the customer that their policy would not provide coverage for any damage to their car
May 5, 2015: *** called our office and requested that we add comprehensive and full glass coverage to his Chevrolet ImpalaOur phone log indicates this was the request and at the same time, it was offered that *** come into the office to review his account in detail and that request was declined
June 4, 2015: *** called our office and explained that someone had hit his car in a parking lot and that person left the sceneAt that time it was explained that there was no collision coverage on the vehicle*** said that he had called our office back in May to add collision onto the vehicleHe did not file a claim at that time but instead was going to take the car to get an estimate on the amount of damageAgain, *** was offered the opportunity to come in to review his account and he declined
June 5, 2015: *** called the office to let us know he was bringing the car in to get an estimate that dayWe again reviewed the coverage's with him and advised him that there was no collision coverage on the car and also recommended he increase his liability limits from 30/60/*** elected to increase the limits to 100/300/as of 6/5/
June 5, 2015: *** called about an hour and a half later to say the damages were estimated to be over $3,and he wanted to file a claim*** was connected with our claims office to begin the claim processHe was again advised that there was no collision coverage on the car but we would submit claim so that he is given every consideration for the claim
June 9, 2015: Our claims office called to find out from our office if collision coverage was added to the Chevrolet Impala; at which point we explained that there was no request to add collision coverageOur claims office advised *** that there was no collision coverage on the vehicle and therefore, denied the claim
*** immediately called our office after hearing from claims that the claim was being denied*** insisted that he wanted collision coverage added when he called on May 5, and requested a call from the agent, Tim Meyer*** then hung up the phone before we could respond
Tim was out of town at the time of the call and email and by the time he returned, *** had already emailed that he would be cancelling his policies and then called about changing the coverage back on his policy
*** then emailed agent Tim Meyer that he would be cancelling his policies in the coming days
About an hour later that same day, *** called again and requested that we "put the coverages back to where they were prior to May 5, 2015." We advised him that this would mean removing the comprehensive coverage and glass coverage and he insisted we make the change and then hung up the phone again
This was our last interaction with ***
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/06/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
*** said that I "came in" to setup car insuranceThis is a lieI have never been to his office, nor do I know where it is! An agent came to my house where I purchased auto and home owners coverage
I was NEVER advised that I didn't have collision when I initially calledI have phone recordings of all conversations I had with his agents*** told me that I had a deductible the first day I calledI asked *** if I was covered and how filing a claim workedShe told me to get an estimate, and call her after I get one(Verified by phone recordings)I called back and filed a claimI still was NOT advised I didn't have coverageI did not find out until the claim department denied my claimI called in may to change my coverage because I had to park in the street and was worried my car would get hit on my narrow streetWhy would I only change the glass coverage? Again phone recordings will verify everythingObviously time agents are not logging everything in a truthful mannerThank god for phone recordings! This office is a scam, and will advertise it as such*** agents are obviously just as untruthful as himselfMost of *** comments are blatant lies
Final Business Response /* (1000, 17, 2015/07/01) */
I apologize for not responding however, I was out of the office until today and just received the letter dated June 18,
I verified the information previously provided with my staff again and I stand by the original statementI have been in business for years and have always prided myself on doing the right thing
*** indicated he has telephone recordings of the conversations had with my staffIf *** could present those recordings to us to prove that we made the errors in questionIf he does so, we are happy to provide this information to claims in an effort to get his claim covered
