electrical work for alternator for the price of $70.00. We later called the warranty claims department and confirmed that the warranty would not cover for the services agreed upon. All repairs were done with consent from the customer. The customer has since paid the fill amount and has taken his vehicle from our facilities.Sincerely,• Paul P[redacted] Owner of Tim's Auto Repair

Review: My 2005 Hyundai Sonata was taken to Tim's Auto Sales for the engine to be replaced. Tim;s Auto Sales charged me $1,500.00 for an used engine that only has 88,000 miles on it. Two months later the car broke down on the highway. I had the car towed to a local mechanic for a diagnosis, who told me the engine blew. I then called Tim's to inform them of the problem and they advised me to have the car towed to their shop so they could see what was wrong. After three weeks of calling Tim's Auto Sales for a status on my car and being constantly told he will get to my car tomorrow, I had to go up there to see what the hold up was. Tim informed me that he would definitely look at the car on Monday to see what is wrong with it. On Tuesday of that week I called Tim and he proceeded to tell me that the engine they had put in my car two months prior was bad and the person they got the engine from sold it to him bad. He then told me in order for him to replace my engine he would need $750.00 to fix what I had already payed him $1,500.00 for.Desired Settlement: I would like my car either properly fixed or a refund on the faulty engine Tim's Auto Sales put in my car.

Dear Revdex.com,

I am writing in response to the complaint regarding the customer, [redacted]. **. [redacted] brought his 2005 Hyundai Sonata to Tim’s Auto Repair for a used engine replacement. The price for a used engine replacement is $1,600.00, for which **. [redacted] negotiated for the reduced price of $1,550.00. He has paid $1,500.00, leaving a. balance of $50.00 unpaid. The warranty for used parts provided by this establishment is a 30 days guarantee upon replacement. However, **. [redacted] brought back his car two months later when the warranty had expired.

In regards to the three weeks of inactivity on our part as described by **, [redacted], **. [redacted] stayed in contact with us for those three weeks requesting that his car be fixed for free. However, with an expired warranty, the engine repair would not be done for free. This discrepancy resulted in his car was not repaired during the three weeks, Understanding that **, [redacted] just had his engine replaced recently, we offered that if he purchased another used engine at the price of $750.00, then we would install the engine for free. This offer was declined by **. [redacted].

Enclosed is a copy of the used engine purchase, **. [redacted]’s repair order receipt and [redacted] payment. The repair order is dated April 1, 2013, stating the warranty for used parts twice to be a 30 days guarantee as well as a balance of $50.00 unpaid. The used engine purchase is dated April 3, 2013 for the price of $800.00 also stating a 30 days warranty. **. [redacted] brought his car back in July, a full two months after the engine repair. I hope this resolves any misunderstandings.

Sincerely,
