Tim's Tidy Touch Painting

Review: We purchased a [redacted] deal for [redacted]'s Tidy Touch Painting. After numerous attempts to contact them to schedule service, [redacted] (the lady who handles telephone/email contact for [redacted]'s Tidy Touch Painting) finally replied via email (and eventually phone) that they could only fit us in the day before the [redacted] deal was to expire. Furthermore, our attempts to contact [redacted]'s Tidy Touch Painting resulted in many unreturned phone calls and emails. When the day arrived in which we were to receive the service, [redacted]'s Tidy Touch Painting, which apparaently is staffed only by [redacted] and [redacted] (the business owner) arrived late because "other jobs ran over" (this after telling us the day before that we were the first service appointment of the day). After telling us that the room to be painted was larger than they thought, and telling us that it would cost an additional $150 dollars to paint, we declined to have the painting done. They offered a refund, but I'll believe that we'll receive said refund when it actually shows up in our bank account. [redacted]'s Tidy Touch Painting was obviously woefully underprepared for the demand generated by the [redacted] deal, and the unprofessional behavior exhibited by [redacted] and [redacted] reflects poorly on their business.Desired Settlement: Be better prepared for demand caused by [redacted] deals; promptly issue promised refund; behave more professionally in the future

Review: I purchased a [redacted] for 3 rooms of painting for a set fee of $189. I called the number listed on the [redacted] voucher, but it was disconnected and referred me to another number. I dialed the new number and left a voice mail. After about a week and not hearing from anyone, I tried again. Later that day [redacted] contacted me and we set an appointment for painting on June 11 in the a.m. I rearranged my work schedule to accomodate a weekday appointment. [redacted] called me to confirm the appointment the day before the scheduled appointment and indicated they would be at my home at 7:30 a.m. They showed up late, but not terribly late. It was her ([redacted]) and [redacted] was carrying a canvas, presumably to cover floors and furniture. I requested the basement (3 walls) be painted, and I supplied the paint they insisted upon ([redacted], including primer) and the blue tape. One long wall in my basement has a shelf with moulding, but I wasn't requesting they paint that, as I had painted that myself. I requested an I-beam across the ceiling and two other lower parts of my ceiling be painted on the vertical space only. They measured the length and width of my room, and told me I was "over" by 232 feet. They said they'd paint the I-beam for an additional $125. I declined. I told them I'd let them start work, and left the basement. I went upstairs and a few minutes later, I heard [redacted] say, "I need to go get something; I'll be back in about 30 minutes". He never returned.

I have contacted [redacted] for a refund. I do not want [redacted] or [redacted] or anyone else from [redacted]'s Tidy Touch Painting in my home or anywhere near me. Reviews [redacted] indicate it is a terrible company. Their [redacted] page indicates they have won a "Best of...." award. Hopefully this complaint will prohibit that mistake from happening in the future.Desired Settlement: ?I wish to get a refund from [redacted], and to never hear from [redacted]'s again.
