My name is [redacted] owner of tims towing and recovery. I am responding to complaint number [redacted].
On 01/14/2014 I received a phone call from one of my garage accounts needing a tow of a Honda civic from a gas station on 108th and forest home and the car was parked by the gas pumps. I proceeded to the gas station on 108th and forest home where I saw a Honda civic parked by the gas pumps that matched the description given to me by the repair shop.I proceeded to hook the car up by the front wheels never touching the bumper. I towed the vehicle to the repair shop and dropped it off and went on to my next call. About 2 hours after this I received a phone call from a customer asking when I was coming to pick up her car from the gas station, I stated I already did and it was all dropped off at the repair shop. the customers response was no its still there. come to find out there is another gas station just south of forest home. I then called Hales corners police personally and asked them if they had a report of a stolen car from 108th and forest home , they transferred me to the police officer who took the report and I told him it was a mistake and I was on my way to the repair shop to pick up the car and bring it back. The officer met me at the gas station and we waited together for the owner of vehicle to arrive. When owner arrived I got out of my truck to apologize and explain what happened and the lady wouldn't let me get a word in. In fact she wanted the police to arrest me for auto theft but there clearly was no intent to steal her car it was an honest accident. again my truck never touched her bumper it picks a car up from the front wheels.when I tried to explain this to the lady she became very nasty to me. While I freely admit that I did take the wrong car purely on accident I did not damage the front bumper however just to show good faith I work closely with a body shop and I would be more than willing to have them look at it and see if they can fix it or possibly a used bumper cover
