Be Warned!!
Tinker has the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with in 55 years! If you take a loan with them, they will add funds to your loan without contacting you! Be warned! I would never recommend borrowing money from this institution! Trust me I’ve been through hell with them for two month. Now trying to refinance with another better institution! Be warned! I got a third notice by mail stating I need to show proof of insurance or they would take coverage for me and charge funds to my loan. Well I did show proof but they already charged my loan. I never got the two notices they claim to have sent! No phone calls! No registered mail. Nothing! They just help themselves adding funds to my loan without my approval!

Poor customer service
After today I am waiting for my remaining checks to clear and I am done. I am only at Tinker because my great bank (Republic) went thru a change. You need to tell your new members some pretty important facts. When they open a new account they have a "Daily" charging allowance?I went to purchase tires and was horribly embarrassed when they declined my card and I had more than enough money to cover the charge. I was going to wire my mom money (Sending checks or cash is not smart), but you cannot send/receive wire transfers for 90+ days. And lastly I had two charges appear as pending on my bank statement (I don't trust anyone and look at my balances daily), I immediately disputed the charge, they let the $200 in charges go thru and said it would be 7-10 days while they investigate. Are you f-cking kidding me. I had to borrow money so THEY would no overdraw my account and they I would have another set of issues. RUN from this credit union, the two locations in Norman are a nightmare.

Thank you for providing an opportunity to respond We reviewed the below claim and there was no wrong-doing on TFCU’s part We received a cancellation notice from State Farm on 3/29/ Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI) was placed on the vehicle from 4/1/to 7/18/ until we received notice of coverage from Traveller’s insurance The cost of CPI has already been realized by TFCU therefore, we have no ability to waive the charged amount without passing the expense on to our other members Originally Ms [redacted] said she was unaware of the requirement and admitted to letting the coverage drop We then reminded her that she signed an agreement to provide full coverage insurance at the time of purchase Further, per conversations with our Adjustments team, our member admitted she did not open the notices from TFCU nor Allied notifying her of the issue We do not believe it is a reasonable expectation to meet the below request and will take no action accordingly [redacted] ***Vice President, LendingTinker Federal Credit Union

Thank you for allowing TFCU to respond to this complaint Upon our member’s death, the funds were disbursed amongst the qualified siblings on June 9th TFCU mailed the checks based on the information received by [redacted] (the sister) and [redacted] (the sibling in question) Upon sending out the checks, we were notified by both Ms [redacted] and Mr [redacted] that they in fact gave us the wrong address for Mr [redacted] We have maintained a copy of the actual email sent to TFCU for the disbursement of funds Four of the five siblings received their check without incident Mr [redacted] was given options to satisfy his request but he chose not to accept them Instead, Mr [redacted] chose to be verbally abusive on multiple occasions to the staff members as they attempted to resolve his concerns To ensure Mr [redacted] does not have further contact with TFCU staff members, I have made an exception to official check policies and reissued the check with the corrected address given to us by Ms*** The check will be sent out today Should Mr [redacted] have further questions or concerns, he is to contact me directly with the number provided below Thank you again for allowing TFCU to respond to this inquiry Sincerely, [redacted] Tinker Federal Credit Union [redacted] ** [redacted] ***e

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 6, 2015/07/29) */ We appreciate the opportunity to rectify any concerns our member may have had with her accountTFCU has attempted to call Ms [redacted] as requested regarding her account but the international number given to TFCU does not workWe also attempted to contact the member through our chat feature but the member's web browser did not allow a connection with TFCUTFCU took the necessary steps and recommended that Ms [redacted] update her browser in an attempt to secure a connection but with no success Ms [redacted] did contact TFCU through our unsecured email on July 22, but due to TFCU's concerns of member security and confidentiality, TFCU requested that she call us directly for financial related activitiesThe number and hours of operation were given to her for her convenience As of July 24th we have closed the account as requested by Ms [redacted] and refunded the negative balanceThe required membership deposit of $was sent to the address listed on the accountRegarding the deactivated card issue, this was caused by a merchant card compromise and TFCU provided full disclosure to the member prior to the closureThank you and we appreciate the business [redacted] Tinker Federal Credit Union PO Box XXXXX TAFB, OK XXXXX (XXX)XXX-XXXX Office

Thank you for the feedback and as always, it is a privilege to be able to assist our members with their needs In this specific situation, Mrs [redacted] contacted our Member Contact Center on March 29, and requested that TFCU opt her out of TFCU loan promotion offers and to block her Home Branch (HB) access due to past unauthorized transactionsOn March 31, 2017, Mrs [redacted] came into the Norman Branch and requested TFCU to unblock her HB access On this same day, Mr [redacted] (beneficiary only on the account) contacted the Member Service Officer that Mrs [redacted] had worked with earlier this day and stated that the HB was in fact still blocked and requested access to the HBTo ensure our member’s account confidentiality remained intact and with good faith, the Norman Branch Manager spoke with Mrs [redacted] and requested she add Mr [redacted] to the account if in fact she wanted her husband to have access This conversation was repeated on May 30, June 1, and again on June 5, Paperwork was given to Mrs [redacted] at this point in timeOn June 6, 2017, Mrs [redacted] returned the signed account agreement to the Norman Branch to add her husband to the savings and checking accounts Both Mrand Mrs [redacted] have full access to the account to include HB access We do apologize for any inconvenience our actions may have caused and we look forward to serving this family in the futureWe appreciate their business and should Mrand Mrs [redacted] need further assistance, please call me directly [redacted] ** [redacted] *** [redacted]

Our records reflect four (4) Skip-A-Payment forms were mailed to our member between 1/23/and 2/10/ As the member stated, the forms were mailed rather than being provided electronically The department working with the member typically does not utilize the electronic delivery option which will be corrected going forward A TFCU representative spoke with the member on 3/6/and his transaction was completed on 3/7/ We regret the situation occurred and apologize for any inconvenience the matter may have caused

This member affirmed the debt with TFCU on a PT Cruiser in the original Revdex.com complaint The complaint is not a dispute of the debt, but a dissatisfaction that the debt is reporting to the credit bureaus The member has repeatedly disputed the credit reporting and debt in an attempt to remove it from the credit bureausOne dispute included the following comments “ It has been on my credit loan enough please remove.” TFCU has properly validated this debt TFCU’s reporting is accurate and in accordance with the law

To whom it may concern;I reached out to ***, as she requested, leaving messages on 7/and 7/with no responseWe researched the claim to determine if TFCU was in fact in error and needed to take action to resolveThe member is correct that for whatever reason, her insurance company indicated
to us that she only had liability insurance, not full coverage as requiredIn such cases, our third party vendor adds full coverage to the loan and the premium increases the monthly payment accordinglyOur member continued to make the original payment without adjusting for the increaseOur records indicate the Adjustments team had multiple contacts with the member asking her to correct the situationThey continued to give her our third party vendor's contact information when they spokeHer coverage lapsed on 8/3/and the issue was not corrected until 1/21/despite our multiple requestsThe member did not meet the terms and conditions of the loan nor took appropriate action to correct the issue in a timely mannerWhile it is unfortunate that her insurance company set this in motion, TFCU pro-actively tried to help the member through the processTFCU has already paid for insurance during the lapse in coverage therefore, there is no remedy available without the credit union taking a loss for our membershipWith evidence supporting our efforts to correct the situation with the member, this is not an option.We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this complaint and we are confident this situation was handled appropriately.Respectfully,*** ***Vice President, LendingTinker Federal Credit Union

Tinker has never contacted me to claim that I have a repossession with them and I oweI had a vehicle with them back in that I voluntarily gave back and it was sold for what was owed on itI find it funny that when I dispute it to the credit bureaus they can validate the debt but never
contact me and try to come to a resolutionAgain this debt has never been properly validated

department.  Additionally, one of the beneficiaries on the account died before the account was settled, which resulted in the requirement of the family to provide TFCU with the appropriate probate documents naming the Personal Representative of the Estate.  We requested this information in March of 2017.  As of the date of the complaint, TFCU had not received the appropriate documents to payout according to the requirements of the Estate.  On May 26, 2017, [redacted] presented the required documents and the account was closed according to the documents presented.  We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused the family and look forward to an opportunity to serve the family in the future.  Thank you again!  [redacted]

Thank you for the member complaint and we appreciate your partnership to ensure our members receive the appropriate service. In regards to Ms. [redacted]’s loan payment being applied to the savings account rather than to the loan payment on 1/17/17, I would like to apologize for this error. ...

It was apparent the employee applied the funds to the wrong account suffix.  The adjustment was made and back dated to ensure this member was made whole.  In researching the account, there were zero late fees applied and her loan is current as of 1/31/17.  In talking with Ms. [redacted], although she indicated that she did not want to set up automatic payments to prevent future concerns, the Manager of MSC, [redacted], #[redacted], gave Ms. [redacted] her direct line for all future payments to ensure she received the expected service.  Should Ms. [redacted] have additional concerns, she is welcome to contact me directly at @ #[redacted].  Again, we apologize for this error and we appreciate her business.  Thank you![redacted]Tinker Federal Credit Union PO Box, TAFB, OK  73145[redacted] Office
