Tint School of Makeup and Cosmetology Reviews (%countItem)

I give it one star because there wasn't a 0 button to select. I went into this establishment with an open mind because I knew it was a cosmetology school only to be highly dissatisfied. I've been going to different ones for years and never had this kind of encounter. I like to support and give them a chance so that they can get as much experience to become their best! I had just professionally gotten braids taken down and my hair detangled by an African braiding shop. I went in for a wash, DEEP CONDITION, and silk press. I got passed off between FOUR ladies, and it wasn't because I was being difficult. The first young lady Cha was great! She had an emergency and had to leave for the afternoon which is totally understandable, I wasn't upset. The second young lady didn't introduce herself but tried to tell me she wasn't deep conditioning my hair because Cha had already had conditioner on it when she was detangling my hair, but I paid $10 additional for the deep conditioning services. In my past experience, they put you under the dryer with conditioner and a plastic cap to let it do its job! She went on to tell me "that's not what the instructor told me I was doing" and that she was to only dry and flat iron. After looking at the receipt she did it but had an attitude. She washed out my conditioner with hot water knowing good and well she was supposed to use cold. After we got back to the chair she attempted to blow dry my hair not using her skills learned. She left my hair WET at the roots and was blow drying it all over the place since she had an attitude. After she cut the dryer off SHE PROCEEDED TO APPLY A HOT FLAT IRON TO MY STILL WET HAIR THAT SHE DIDN'T PROPERLY BLOW DRY... I asked her "what do you think you're about to do to my hair it isn't dry". She proceeded to say "my hands are hot I didn't know it was still wet". She then proceeded to continue to blow dry huffing and puffing. I asked her "aren't you supposed to section the hair and blow dry it down with the brush or comb so then she did it the correct way. After I had to tell her it was dry she walked off. She gossiped with two of her fellow classmates for about 3-5 mins leaving me over there while they all looked at me. She then proceeded to inform the instructor she wasn't finishing my hair. Tiffany the instructor came over to continue, she was okay. Then Jill came in, which is another instructor and asked Tiffany why she wasn't at lunch? Tiffany told her "she's had too many people in her head and I'm just trying to get her done and out". Jill relieved Tiffany for lunch. She stepped in and saved the day and did an AMAZING job! It should not have taken four people to get this simple job done. I'm all about customer service and professionalism. There were no efforts to rectify my experience. I will not ever return to this establishment.

If I could leave 0 stars I would!! DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL PLEASE PEOPLE GO SOMEWHERE THAT WILL GIVE YOU A GOOD EDUCATION!! I graduated from Tint back in September I was in the Esthetician program which is not a program at all anymore at that school. They closed the program down while I was in the program and pretty much said F all current students in the program. Things got messy so anyway luckily I got to graduate but I was one of the last 4 students left in the whole program. Everybody graduated upset the last girl that was supposed to graduate before the program "officially" shut down. They kicked her out of the school and made her transfer somewhere else which was really messed up because the girl only had like 100-150 hrs left and the other school will not accept all her hours. And the only reason they shut the program down is because they didn't want to buy any new equipment OR products and the equipment was to expensive to buy and fix but THEY ARE GETTING almost $9,000 from EVERY STUDENT IN THE PROGRAM! PLUS $9,000-$11,000 from Cosmo students and I think about $11,000 from the makeup students!! SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE.. ANYWAY While I was there I was watched like a hawk, racially discriminated against, followed to the *** bathroom (Ms. Berma/Verma however you say her name) talked to like I was a 10 years old child (Savannah new director or whatever she is up there) The school needs a upgrade roaches running around, equipment doesn't work and personally I think they are pocketing money up there. MY WHOLE FACE BROKE OUT FROM GETTING FACIALS UP THERE! ALL WE DID WAS WORK ON EACHOTHER OVER AND OVER AGAIN! I don't shave under my chin or on my chin at all and now it looks like I do from the discoloration of my skin under there!!! The teachers tried to tell me "noooo it's just the impurities coming out of your skin" BUT GUESS WHAT THAT STUFF NEVER WENT AWAY! And my cousins came up there to get a facial and their skin started breaking out in the same area (under the chin/neck area).. I personally think it was the towels they used up there because cosmetology likes to mix in there towels with ours and while your giving somebody a facial you see blonde, Black, orange whatever color hair sliding down the clients face when you remove the hot towel! COME ON NOWWWWW! They want to have daily meetings about what's going on in the school and why ppl not doing this, ppl need to be busy SNITCHING AND STUFF.. THEY NEED TO BE WORRYING ABOUT WHY THE SCHOOL SO RAGGEDY AND WHY EVERY MORNING I WALKED IN THERE IT SMELLED LIKE MILDEW AND SOMETHING DECAYING! AND WHY PEOPLE CANT SIT ON THE FACIAL CHAIRS BECAUSE IT MAY CAVE IN AND YOU MAY BREAK YOUR NECK! TDLR SHUT THIS SCHOOL DOWNNN! I could go on and on.. just don't go to this school.
