If I could have brought the vehicle, I would have (it was not drivable with the brakes out)I tried numerous times to reach you with no answerIf you would have answered your phone I would most certainly have had you fix the vehicleYou say that you "probably" would have helped, which doesn't give me any confidence that you would haveIt is unethical for a business to just disregard a customer's pleas for help so they don't have to help themIt is yet another thing to then treat that customer in the fashion you have treated meAs a result of me needing help and not receiving it, I've now been called a liar, had lies told about me, been accused of criminal activity, and all around treated poorlyIf a business tells someone they will fix any issues they have with the issues that were mentioned at the point of sale, that business should own up to those statementsLying to customers is unethicalWhen you told me you would fix those issues, I believed youYou took advantage of that, and that is unethicalI still feel that I should be made whole and reimbursed for the money I paid to fix an issue you said you would fix.

Hello,
Before I start , vehicle was sold AS/IS. He also inspected the vehicle and test drove prior to purchase of said vehicle.
This customer was well taken care of. He had a battery problem we were there the next day at his house with a new battery and put it in outside in the cold...

while he was at work  . We have never heard from him again. Then he shows up at the dealership and tells my helper to leave because he and I need to talk. Then he proceeded to tell me that I was going to pay him $1000.00. Which  I said not a chance.  I then said, So here is what I am hearing. You went out on your own and had it repaired without calling me or coming to see me or emailing me and you want me to pay for someone elses fees to repair his vehicle. I told him it doesn't work that way. By the state of Wisconsin you must give me a chance to help if I choice to.  He then called me every name dirty you can think of.  He then said he was going to drag me my dealership and my name  through the [redacted] mud. I am going to destroy my [redacted] business. At that point I told he to leave. He said he wasn't going to leave , he was going to get his $1000 from me. I said no. I said you leave or I will throw you out. He said you touch me I will call the police. I said lets do that .I grabbed the phone and started to dial. He got nervous. He then said make sure I lock my doors he will be back to get me. He left, but I decided that the threat was serious so I called the Hallie Police and let them know of what happened. I gave them his truck number and plate number and his info so it is on file.   I owe him nothing. If he would have been more considerate and called me first , We might have helped. At this point if he comes to the dealership I will call the police. Thx, [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
When I originally went to Tip Top Motors on Jan 8th, 2015 I looked at the vehicle that I eventually purchased. I brought my girlfriend with me in case I bought the vehicle and needed her to drive our vehicle home. After looking over the vehicle I decided to take it for a test drive. That's where the issues began. The vehicle didn't start. The salesman insisted that it had just been sitting out in the cold for a long time and just needed a jump. After jumping the battery, the mechanic noticed that the front left tire was completely flat. He then had me drive the vehicle to the front door so he could fill it up. I then noticed that the gas tank was on empty. This was not a good start. The mechanic told me to take it to the gas station and he would be behind with his credit card to put gas in. When I arrived at the gas station, the vehicle had been running for about 15 minutes. However after filling the gas tank half way, (they weren't willing to fill the tank) the vehicle didn't start again. I then took the truck for a test drive and I noticed a grinding noise that sounded like it was coming from one of the brakes. When I returned to the dealership I explained to the salesman that there was a grinding noise in one of the brakes. The salesman ([redacted]) dismissed any problems with the truck and told me that if there were any issues that they (Tip Top Motors) would take care of them. I expressed my appreciation. We spoke about trading my vehicle in and [redacted] let me know that "it wasn't  worth it to them". However when I told them I had other appointments to make to test drive other vehicles, [redacted] promptly offered me $1000 for my trade in if I was willing to make a deal right away. This sounded fair to me. [redacted] asked me what I could pay for the vehicle. I told him I could give him $3000 in cash plus my trade in. He said, "That sounds good to me". Then he had me sign the contract. After signing the contract he then asked how I would like to take care of the other $908 I owed him. This didn't sound like the deal that we had agreed on. He wasn't willing to budge on the price so I set up 2 payments for the following Friday, Jan 16th, and 2 weeks after that, Friday Jan 30th. I let [redacted] know that I could bring the title for my trade on Jan 16th when I brought that payment and I would pick up the license plates on that day as well.
The next day, (Jan 9th) I went out to start my truck at about 730 AM. The truck didn't start. I immediately called Tip Top Motors to try to resolve the issue, as agreed upon by [redacted]. I made 3 phone calls to Tip Top Motors that day and none of them were answered. I was late for work because I had to get a ride unexpectedly.
The next day, (Jan 10th) I made an additional 7 calls to Tip Top Motors starting at 640 AM before I finally got ahold of them at 116 PM. I explained that my truck didn't start Fri morning and reminded him of his agreement to take care of any of the issues I told him about after the test drive. He sent his mechanic out to my house where the vehicle was located and he put a new battery in.
The next day, (Jan 11th) the truck didn't start again. I decided not to call [redacted] about it because I eventually got the truck started an hour later.
The next time I spoke with Tip Top Motors was on Wed Jan 14th. The mechanic called me demanding that I bring the title in for my trade. I explained that it was a major inconvenience for me to bring the title right away and that is why I told them initially that I would bring it with my payment on Fri Jan 16th as we had agreed. He insisted that he NEEDED it right away and was very rude. In order to calm the situation I decided to change around my plans and bring the title in for him. I asked if I could also get the license plates for my trade-in while I was there and he told me I could. When I arrived with the signed title I was rushed out of the building without my license plates.
On Fri Jan 16th I returned to Tip Top Motors to make the first payment of two and I received the same treatment, rude and rushed out without my license plates.
On Fri Jan 30th I returned to make the second payment. I was greeted by a very nice man that was a new employee (Scott). Scott took my payment but couldn't give me a receipt so he just wrote it on a piece of printer paper "paid in full". He knew nothing about my license plates. The other two employees were not in at that time and I could not wait as I had to get to work.
On Mon Feb 9th, while traveling to work, the grinding noise mentioned earlier turned into a clunk. I lost control of the vehicle and almost ran into a building. I called [redacted] immediately, but did not get an answer or a call back. I continued to call on Tuesday and Wed, but still received no answer or call back. I could not wait any longer. I needed the vehicle fixed so I could get to work. I took the vehicle to Peterson Automotive on Thurs Jan 12th. After fixing the entire braking system on the rear left tire and two leaking oil lines I was contacted back by Peterson Automotive. Upon picking up my vehicle I was handed a bill for $1003 which I paid immediately.
On Fri Feb 13th I went to Tip Top Motors to speak to [redacted] about this situation and hopefully resolve it. When I walked in the mechanic complained about having to stay past closing time. I told him he was welcome to leave if he wanted to because I was there to speak to [redacted] asked why he had to stay. I explained that I just paid $1000 to get the vehicle fixed that I had purchased from him. [redacted] replied, "Not my problem". I referenced the conversation we had on the day of purchase, and he maintained that this was not his problem. I explained that we had a verbal agreement that he would fix any of the issues we spoke about at the time of purchase. He stood up out of his chair and started yelling at me about Wisconsin law and how I didn't give him an opportunity to resolve the issue. I explained that I tried calling him for 3 days straight with no answer and I needed to get the vehicle fixed. He again said, "not my problem". When I told him that he was falsely advertising the condition of his vehicles he told me it was time for me to leave. I disagreed. He then told me that I was going to leave and he came around his desk towards me. I said that I wasn't going to leave until the matter was satisfied. He said, "I'm satisfied". I told him I wasn't. He grabbed my shoulder and told me that he was going to remove me from the building if I wasn't willing to leave. I said, "If you don't take your hand off of me, I will call the Police". He said that that was a great idea and that he would call them for me. He grabbed his phone and a business card for the Hallie Police Dept and kept walking straight towards me until his belly was pushing me toward the door. I felt like he was trying to either provoke me into a fight or push me out the door. I left because I was afraid he would get more physical than he already had.
I don't appreciate being treated this way by a business where I have spent a substantial amount of money. And I certainly don't appreciate being told that they would take care of any issues that came up, and then not be taken care of. After submitting a complaint with the Revdex.com and receiving a response from the business, now I also find out that the salesman ([redacted]) is telling the Police that I threatened him and he lodged a complaint about it. I don't appreciate when people tell lies about me either.
I believe that Tip Top Motors should reimburse me for the $1003 I paid to fix the vehicle. I believe that I gave them ample time to "Take care" of the issue. I believe, after inspecting the vehicle, they should either fix any issues the vehicle has or put on the window sticker that there are issues with the vehicle before they put that vehicle out on the lot for sale.
