I went into Tip Top Nails and requested pricesI was shown a price listI again requested an exact price for the service I wantedI was told a price that matched the wall chartI agreed to pay the quoted price and service was startedAbout half way through the person I thought was a manager informed me that the end price would be $moreI was getting my granddaughter nails done for a very special occasionIf not for this very special occasion I would have walked outThere seemed none in the business who spoke English well enough to explainI am not sure if they actually did not speak English well or were only pretending to not understand Needless to say I will never use their services again and will most certainly advise anyone not to ever patronize this business!!!!

I went into Tip Top Nails and requested prices. I was shown a price list. I again requested an exact price for the service I wanted. I was told a price that matched the wall chart. I agreed to pay the quoted price and service was started. About half way through the person I thought was a manager informed me that the end price would be $5.00 more. I was getting my granddaughter nails done for a very special occasion. If not for this very special occasion I would have walked out. There seemed none in the business who spoke English well enough to explain. I am not sure if they actually did not speak English well or were only pretending to not understand.

Needless to say I will never use their services again and will most certainly advise anyone not to ever patronize this business!!!!

Review: I went in for a gel manicure. All they did was change the color of my nails and did nothing that's included in a manicure. There was no cutting of the cuticle or hand massage. When I confronted the owner, he gave me an attitude and told me that this is how the business is ran.Desired Settlement: I would like to get reimbursed for what I paid for a gel manicure as it was false advertisement.

My name is [redacted] and I'm also the owner of Tip - Top Nails at [redacted] Thank you for giving us the opportunity to provide our explanation. My husband had told me about this incident before we received this letter from you. This young lady came to our nail salon with another person and had the same services done; the other person had no problem with the services but she did. What I'm trying to say is our gel manicure services is always done the same way in our salon with every nail technician but one might be more meticulous than the other. But the procedure is always the same. I do not know how other nail salons run their business but with ours we do the best we can possibly do to make our customer happy. We have been at this location for over 15 years and still running our business like day one. We are not here to take advantage of anyone. This young lady started threatening my husband about how her uncle is a lawyer, when my husband was simply explaining to her how the procedure is done in our salon for a gel manicure. We use a sand bits to file the nail bed so the color stays on and we do not do a gel manicure like we do a regular manicure; they are two different procedures. A gel manicure is a name of a procedure, just like French manicure, regular manicure & many other manicures out there. I am rejecting this response because:There was no apology. As a daughter of a business owner, I have learned that one must acknowledge when they're wrong and always be kind to guests. However, the man at this business was not kind at all. In fact, he got an attitude and angry after I told him I would contact my uncle. I would certainly accept this explanation had I received an apology and a complimentary service. I do want to say, that the color used for my gel was great, however, the service was not. My friend and I got terrible service. The ladies were not kind at all. They gave us attitude and had such an unpleasant look when providing service. My friend complained to me the whole time and did not say anything because she had already paid. Just the look on the employees faces intimidated her. I have asked many people about this nail salon and a lot agreed that the gel manicure was false advertisement. They did they their full set was a great service. As a business owner, you want every customer to come back if they had a bad experience.
