The customer contacted us on Tuesday to discuss this issue, she agrees that she owes us something but does not agree to the full amount. She offered to split the amount of $126.25. On Friday I contacted the customer to advise her that we would split the cost with her even though this would not cover our costs. I advised her of the amount due and then she advised me that she would not be able to put the check in the mail until which is another two weeks from today. I advised her that I thought that was a bit much considering that the original bill has been outstanding for over a year. She carried on to tell me that she had personal issues come up. So, although we tried to resolve this issue with the customer she wants to handle things on her terms therefore I am left not knowing whether we will ever get paid or not. We feel this whole issue was simply to get out of paying for a service provided and that the complaint was unwarranted

Thank you all for stepping in during this communication between myself and Tip Top Roofing. I have never had to file a complaint in my life and I have dealt with many contractors over the years
First of all:
Tip Top did not finish the job as quoted for $126.00. I called twice after the job was "supposively" done and I did not receive any communication whatsoever. I then called another contractor to complete the portion that was done as quoted by Tip Top which cost me $100. In addition, I had to push my house from being on the market to await another contractor to come out and finish the job
I had two neighbors witness that the work was NOT done
It took Tip Top Roofing years to communicate with me. Tip Top has not called me or returned my calls only until recently with the communication with *** from the company
At the time of the negotiation, *** and I did not speak of when the payment was going to be accepted as I was told by *** she would have to speak with the owner regarding the negotiation and that they have never had a complaint before. I have NEVER spoken with the owner. The owner has had my number from the first time of communication. I have never mentioned that I would not pay but I will not pay for the job that was not completed. As I told *** and yourselves, I was okay with an adjustment so to make a statement that I was not going to pay is UNTRUE. I believe that Tip Top realized a mistake and hence left it alone for years. I was quick to respond when I found the email in my spam folder in the email section and responded right away to Mr*** but was confused as I had another individual complete the process to include going over the repair from Tip Top
I could go on but I have no time. *** is aware via email response that payment has now been settled
Nevertheless - thank you Revdex.com for stepping in
I am done with this. On Friday, October 17th I dropped a check in the mail to which Tip Top should have by now (even cashed the check hopefully) so I can close this chapter
I want nothing to do with this company and will only look at other local companies if the time comes for another roof in my current home
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

Hello:
I do have emails that can make this process go back and forth but I want to close this matter as smoothly as possible and therefore, I have reached out to the company directly.
I did speak with the office manager of the facility and we have been in discussion regarding the amount owed and the work done.  I have made an offer regarding the settlement to the work that was done on the roof.  I believe the office manager will be in contact with your organization with questions that they have regarding this matter.  I do hope that we can come to the agreement offered today and that we can walk away with no issue on either end.

Tip Top has reviewed the complaint, we researched and found emails between [redacted] and [redacted] which do not match what [redacted] is stating in her complaint.  First off, the original and complete email from [redacted] giving her approval for the work to be done and from her stating that she looked at the work and...

it looks "fantastic" is attached for your viewing.  Also, we were never made aware that [redacted] had an issue with the work and that she had to hire someone else, this is all news to us.  The second email attached is a timeline of events that took place that [redacted] emailed [redacted] on Friday 101014.  Tip Top stands behind the work that was done and would like to be paid the fair and agreed upon amount of $126.25.
