I had carpet installed without any padding even though he said he hadAll the furniture was moved out of my bedrooms without me even choosing what carpet I wantedMr [redacted] showed up with just samples and since all the rooms were empty I had no choice but to pick one of the samplesObviously he already had the carpet in his truck because his workers started installing the one I had chosenI had another contractor come out afterward to give me an unbiased estimate of the work doneThe laminate was fine but had been laid down on an uneven floor because even though my insurance had covered for prepping of floors, Mr [redacted] said it would be too expensiveThe second contractor told me that carpet did not have padding and it was sub par basic carpetI also asked more than once for an itemized bill which he never gave meHe told an arbitrator that I had asked him for a bill showing what he paid his workers which was not trueI was very disappointed with the treatment and cost and will never use his services again

I am sending you a notice to tell you that I am complaining to the Revdex.com and to the HomeAdvisor to let them know the poor quality of workmanship that we got from you You had the highest bid, by far, and did a very poor job I just came down from upstairs and saw the poor quality of painting the ceiling and that your workers left texture under all of the fixtures This is about the 5th time we have talked about this poor quality and I asked you to look over everything and correct what you saw wrong You keep saying that if I find anything you will come back and fix it I am a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser and have performed appraisals for the prior years and have seen some good work and some bad work I can honestly say that your work is "BAD" If you can not do any better than this, you will go out of business I am going to take you to court to get some money back as I have to pay someone to fix what you messed up I paid over twice some other quotes from individuals as I thought you had a professional company and could do the job professionally and in a much shorter time than some individuals Shame on me! $12,plus dollars on six large rooms, a laundry room and a hall to have the popcorn removed and painted I just wanted it done right This has been a nightmare! 1: I can see tape through the painting on the ceilings in the upstairs bedrooms and other rooms 2: Where there were old water stains in the dining room, your workers painted over without sealing with kiltz or other recommended stain blocker Your workers then came in and just painted and textured over the already heavily painted area so it now looks like it was a sheetrock repair that was poorly done All you had to do is supervise your people and tell them to seal and then paint as per the rest of the ceiling 3: The borders of the ceiling still have texture and the light fixtures and other fixtures have texture around them and we had to clean the texture and paint off of the ceiling fans and light fixtures 4: There is still texture on the carpet and cabinets where your workers did not clean up 5: The paint trim of the ceiling is not supposed to be on the crown molding or the other walls 6: Your workers spray painted and left shadows(areas not covered by paint) behind several fixtures and did a poor job of coverage I can see tape and uneven paint in several rooms 7: Had to call you back as you forgot about the laundry/half bath room I am forwarding a copy of this email to HomeAdvisor and The Revdex.com You should strive to do better! After suffering through the Great Baton Rouge Flood of 2016; I searched for a competent contractor to re-build my house. We had to gut the house at the 4 foot level, and spray in insulation into the outside walls after drying the house with a de-humidifier. After receiving four bids, I selected Mr. [redacted] with Specialty Coatings, LLC. to do the work on my house. I let it be known up front that I am a VERY picky client, given I am a Quality Control Manager in a very large local pipe fabrication shop. I paid my way thru college building houses as a construction carpenter, so I know quality work when I see it. As with any job, I had some ups and downs, but thru it all, Mr. [redacted] handled everything I threw at him, including one time when WE chose the wrong paint, and had to ask him to paint the walls a darker color. Mr. [redacted] and his employees aim to please, and he went out of his way to accommodate all of our requests. I am highly pleased at the work his multiple crews performed, particularly the finish-up crew. Their attention to detail was amazing. I would not hesitate to recommend [redacted] and Specialty Coatings, LLC. for any construction work, sheet rock, re-model, painting, etc.. He and his firm are highly recommended. A++++ Work.
