I am rejecting this response because: The original pump installed when the house was built lasted 10 years. When it failed I called Tiptons. They replaced the pump for $935. It lasted for 6 years. When it failed, Tiptons replaced it...
for $1160. This pump lasted only 5 months. It has a 2 year warranty on pump and 1 year warranty on labor. They said we need to fix a rock problem so I got a screen from Davis Supply in Edmond for submersible pond pumps. Tiptons had never heard of such a thing. Tiptons was suppose to put the screen in the hole, then put the pump in. It would keep rocks and debris out of the pump and still allow drainage. They ignored that and spent a lot of time digging a hole large enough for a plastic bucket. I emailed Tiptons asking whose idea that was and received no response. Now that bucket keeps the ground water from getting to the pump. It is counterproductive to have the pump in a bucket. This job did not require any digging. The existing hole was just fine. Nothing needed "installation". It was merely a matter of "replacing" the pump. A one-person job. Unscrew one fitting, unplug the electric, remove the pump. Put the basket in the hole, lower the new pump, screw on the fitting, plug it in. Lift the float switch to check if it runs. It should have been one person, one hour (min) removal. Then after I received the screen, one person one hour (min) replace. But it was under warranty..... Then they send me a bill for $1575 ! Outrageous.
