Wrong oil changed in my 98 Mecury Grand Marquis.Center used 5w20.Manifacture oil 5w30.On 11/07/13 Mr Tire Center 3810 N.Duke st.#1182.Routine oil change.98 Mecury Grand Marquis. Cost $29.54 payment cash Wrong oil used by this center 5w20 On 11/08/13 noticed the ratteling sound of the values after the oil change. This was the second time I have used this location and noticed the ratteling right after the oil change.I dismissed the sound the first time but I could tell something wasn't right.Note I have been using the Mr.Tire on hwy 55 in durham nc.I looked back at 3 of the previous oil changes and noticed that center was using the recommended 5w30.On 11/09/13 returned to the Duke st center.Spoke to the manager and the A
s.manager.They informed me that for some reason they received notice that 5w20 was the newly recommended oil.For that model and year.Had I been told that was recommended Then I could have made the choice to go with 5w20 verses the manifaction recommonded 5w30.I asked if they would correct the issue and I was informed that I would have to pay $29.45.The cost of the last oil change.I know my vehicle and I am aware that the change in the oil weight is causing the values to rattle.Desired SettlementChange the oil to 5w30 and filter. It's not that complicated. But I don't expect to have to pay for their mistake of not informing me of the change in oil weight.
