On August 16, 2017, I purchased a pair of what I was told were new tires from this business Less than months later, and with less than 1,miles driven on them, the tires were already worn down to the cords, and one blew out I could not find the receipt from the transaction, and the manager refused to work with me I asked if he could research the ledgers of sale from the date I purchased the tires, and he said that the business does not keep records I asked him how the business pays its taxes if it does not keep records, and he said that they do have records, but they are kept off site, and he cannot access them

I am rejecting this response because: This is a false statement of the facts.  When I spoke with the business representative, no request was made to give them time to find a record of the transaction.  I was told that the business only deals in paper receipts, and that there is no way to look up the transaction.  When I asked why there was no ledger or any other compilation of business records, I was then told that the records are kept offsite by a third-party accounting company, and that they could not be researched on-call.  I was then told that since I did not have the receipt, the only thing the business could do for me was to sell me another pair of tires at full price.  I will not pay for replacement tires when I am the victim in this situation due to the fact that I was sold defective tires.  Further, the vehicle is not safe to drive due to not having good tires, and therefore I cannot bring it to their facility.  I am willing to detach the wheels from my car and bring them to the business so that the tires can be replaced at their cost.  If this business will not stand behind the products they sell, and try to charge additional money from innocent customers they sell defective products to, I will file a complaint in small claims court.
