Review: I bought four new tires in September. I noticed that only one of the four tires (the back driver's side) had vast amounts of what looked like dried rubber cement all over the connection point between the tire and metal rim. I brought my car back to their shop on October 10 at about 11:30. I was told it would be an hour or so. I returned an hour later and it was not done, but was told it was almost ready to go in. I returned at about 2:00 and it had not been into the shop yet. We left but I was irritated. I called and cancelled the alignment but kept the tire check. I had my husband take me back and leave me at the shop. The man behind the counter said he wasn't aware the alignment was cancelled. I stood at the counter until he typed in the computer and said "it has been deleted." I was given a nail a short time later (I have kept it) and was told it came from the driver's side back tire. I did ask why I was never told I should have gotten an alignment when I bought the tires. He said they have gotten lax lately and should have. I do have a picture of the substance I am referring to on my phone before any repair was made.Desired Settlement: A full and honest disclosure of what that clear "rubber cement" is that's slathered all over the ONLY tire that turned out to have a nail a short time later. A tire replacement NOT a patch. I assume that they believe this tire's patch will hold for the 40,000+ miles since they felt comfortable patching it and not replacing it.

I remember this exchange very well, since I was the one helping Ms. [redacted]. We were very busy and gave her our best estimated time of completion however we did exceed the estimated completion time due to a high volume of service being performed that day. Ms. [redacted] was visibly annoyed with the situation and was told we are proceeding as quickly as possible. when I told her that there was a nail in the tire she did not believe me and requested to go in the shop and see for herself. she was escorted back and was shown the tire that we were repairing and also questioned the tech. regarding the repair. the tire was repaired in accordance with T.I.A. (tire industry association) standards at no charge to the customer. the residue which Ms. [redacted] is referring to is bead sealant which is water soluble. this should have been cleaned off better and for that I apologize.
