Review: I brought my car in for a simple tire rotation at this business. The business put the wrong lug nuts back on my car. 10 days prior to this I had just gotten the brakes done and had the lines bled; The tires were safe and secure fastened after having them removed.

Skip 10 days ahead and I go to have the tire rotation and as soon as I left this business my car was making thumping noises. As I drove faster the sound was louder and faster. I brought the car back in to the shop to find out what the issue was. They wrote me up and invoice saying my two front ball joints were worn and the inner/outer tie rods needed to be replaced. I have a copy of this invoice stating as such.

I brought the car to my trusted mechanic and they immediately found the issue and told me the lug nuts they put on the car were too long to hold the wheel in place even though the lug nuts were tight. Essentially creating a gap between a tightened lug nut and the rotor causing the wheels to be loose in between the lug nut and the rotor. I have an invoice from my mechanic stating "Car was in 10 days ago for work and the lugnut at that time held the wheels correctly. When the car came in today the lugnuts that were installed were all way too long and bottomed out on the rotors before they held the wheels, so the wheels were all loose. Possible that the lug nuts were mixed up with another car at the other shop that did the rotation a couple of days ago".

I called up Star Tires Plus Wheels and the "boss" laughed at me when I brought this to his attention. He said we should have brought it to him, Which we already had, and was less than forthcoming with me about the issue.Desired Settlement: I paid $111.88 for new lug nuts and I believe this business, a tire business, who couldn't identify the issue when I brought the car back to the shop, should recoup my cost of $111.88 for new lug nuts.
