My name is [redacted] My husband is the owner of tires unlimited in green bay. We have recently received a letter regarding a complaint.
The customer came in and was quoted $100 for two tires as was stated in the complaint. However when it came time to pay he didn't want to pay the tax because the quote I gave him was without tax and he misunderstood that. He then began spitting at me screaming at me and pushing me. I had one customer sitting in the waiting room and she left because she feared for her safety with the way this gentleman was acting. I asked him to leave and he didn't. I told him that I would not give him a receipt for the warranty if he would not pay in full. He did ask for me to put his old tires on but they were very unsafe and I did not want to take the liability if something were to happen after he left.
There is no tax evasion going on. I have a receipt written of for the gentleman. I just don't offer a warranty for customers who don't pay in full.
I would very much like to get this resolved. If there is anything else I I can do to help the situation please feel free to email me back.
Thank you

Revdex.com spoke with the business. [redacted] said that this complaint is about a vehicle that came into their shop for issues with the back of the vehicle, the muffler and the tail pipe....

They have a $25 fee for diagnosing the vehicle, but the receipt states that the $25 can be used towards other repairs at their shop. The customer is now complaining about work done in the front of the vehicle.  The husband called and was threatening towards the business over the phone and then filed the complaint.

Review: On 05/17/16, I took my [redacted] to Tires Unlimited to have my muffler pipe wielded. The staff told me they have to look at it and call me with what work they can perform on it. I returned the following day since I have not heard from them. The young man at the desk told me they can wield the broken pipe back for $70 or replace the muffler for $140 , I decided to go with the replacement

After a couple of days I went to pay for my truck so I can take it back home. Once I got in and started the truck I immediately notice the loud noise coming from the exhaust. I switch the engine of and went inside to express my dissatisfaction with the horrible sound coming from the truck.

The staff told me they will have the muffler fix by the next day. The next day I went by to tires unlimited and was told that they have change the first muffler replacing it with a more quiet one. When I start the truck the muffler was still noisy. It was a little less noisy than the previous on so I again express my dissatisfaction and ask that they replace my original one that they had previously told me they can wield for $70. The staff try to convince me that my previous on was not good because it was rusty. I have pictures of my muffler from the day before I brought it in and the only problem was a broken pipe and no rust was visible also at the beginning they had after check the problem they technician give me the option to wield it back.

The lady I met that morning ask me to run the vehicle for a week or so to see if the sound will change so I did so. She said if it don't change they can put another muffler in for $239.00. After the week passed I still was not happy with the noise coming in my truck so, I call them up and decided to go with the other muffler. I ask what would be the difference in price and they response was I have to pay the amount in full. They would not refund me $140 or even put it to the new muffler. Why should I pay for service parts that don't work on my vehicle?also if you gonna remove the part, why charge me for it?Desired Settlement: Adjust they price for the job

Review: I recently went to Tires Unlimited to purchase 2 used tires. The price that I was quoted was $100. That included tires, mounting, tire disposal, and balancing. After the job was finished I paid the gentleman that replaced the tires. I then asked for my reciept and if there was a warranty for my tires. The owner then walked up and stated, "To get a reciept for my services would cost an extra $5.50.". I then asked why was there an extra fee to recieve a reciept? The owner then stated,"Because if I have to pay taxes on my sales then so do you!". I then said well what about my warranty? The owner stated, "No reciept, no warranty.". Essentially this man is commiting tax evasion, tax fraud, and deceptive practices to make an extra buck. I then asked for a refund and to return my old tires and he refused. There was a heated argument and I left.Desired Settlement: I would like a reciept for my products purchased, a warranty that is valid from the date of the issuance of the reciept, and information on how to file a formal complaint with the IRS. Thank you and have a blessed day!
